No doubt about it. I played with my music off for almost 4 years, turned it back on today, then hid in a corner and cried. Then of course I searched this. EDIT: Oooh boy the nostalgia. Not sure if nostalgia is a good feeling or not, but I'm gonna leave this on.

No spruce, no snow, not a single different biome. What adventures will you have tomorrow you wonder? What places shall you go, what mountains should you climb? When it was a good time for everyone. 2011 was a amazing time. When minecraft was one of those games you'd play alone at night on friday night. Minecraft was one of those games where you can relax and enjoy life. There was no dlc, there was no dream, there were no greifers, there were no controversy at all. We all should admit, we all took 2011 for granted.

12:20 just hits different that feeling when your playing with family or friends and it’s night time on your world and everyone’s about to go to sleep on the world you just made in the dirt tunnel because you don’t really have anything else just yet looking up at the stars. This wasn’t just a game or a screen with many pixels creating an image, it was hope, love, communities, and joy. This music brings back nostalgia I really am thankful for. I don’t want to write this too long but I remember when I was younger much younger going to my uncles house who was sadly in a pretty bad mental state at the time and stayed at home when he wasn’t working. He built a castle one that was so big I always tried to make myself but never could, and the crazy thing he did it all on survival on the Xbox 360. I’m happy to say he’s married since then and has a family, and last time I saw him I asked about the world and he says he remembers but he can’t remember where it is saved cause he did save it. That’s enough for now but this shows how this simple game saved my uncle from dark places, and that is why I will forever deem this game as the best game of all time!

This hits so hard. A glorious, yet excruciating trip down memory lane, back when everything was simpler, friends still hung out on a regular basis, all our systems and tv's hooked up in the same room, hanging out all weekend. All the pizza we ordered, all the poptarts we ate, all the late nights cause we could still stay up till 3am, our bodies didn't hurt, we weren't always exhausted. Now it just you and one of those friends, you still play occasionally and it's the best, but a part of you still misses those days when the whole gang was there to play games or just talk. The world has plummeted into an unrecognizable entity where everything is too expensive and our time is too little, and I'm afraid it will never be the same again. Gone forever are those good times, now just memories designed to come and go, to make you weep, clinging on to them with everything you have, too afraid to let go. 😔🥺

You just came in thru the door, dropped your backpack to the side and started the computer straight to minecraft. As soon as you start building a house you see that regular show started, you smile knowing that happiness awaits you no matter what choice you choose. Little did little old you know, this was one core memory that will give you a huge burst of emotions everyday for the rest of your life.

I remember hooking up my Xbox 360 and walking down to my friends house to get everyone to come over. I only had two controllers so everyone would bring their own. We’d boot up Minecraft and play 4 way split screen. We never beat the game but that wasn’t the point. We’d spend hours just building our house to the specific needs. A dock for fishing and boats that we’d never use, a stable with the 2 horses no one road, the bedrooms no one slept In because we would go monster hunting. Good old days

Minecraft is bittersweet to me. It was a great game with music that would get stuck in my head and become some sort of soundtrack to a certain era of your life. Idk what it is about Minecraft but somehow, this game can make 5 hours feel like 15 minutes and maybe it’s because how much fun I was having with my friends and family. Before I knew it, the night was over and the sun was beginning to come up and I would frequently miss plans I had. That’s when I realized how much time I waste playing video games. I would like to credit this game as the end of my childhood because I had to grow up and handle my responsibilities but I didn’t know it at the time how special this era would become.

This takes me back to my first ever world. I played it for the first time on xbox 360, back when you could try out certain games for an hour. I loved it, but I was a terrified kid, so much so that I played on peaceful on the old tutorial map, back when the world size could only be a single map's worth. I remember restoring the blocky oak plank starter house, digging down to expand my house and finding a ravine, marking every patch of obsidian I found with a big ring of torches because I didn't have a diamond pick to mine them yet. I remember getting lost so easily that I built a giant pyramid of glass and poured lava on top of it so I'd always be able to see the light of my house when night fell. I remember doing stupid stuff like making a rail track across the map just for the achievement, hunting down all the little hidden music disc Mojang hid around the map, making a hottub in the basement of my wacky house, and my terror when I first entered the nether. I never beat the ender dragon on that world... truth be told I don't even know if you could even get to the end in that world. And then the updates came, and they took that world away from me. Corrupted it with the new terrain generation. I've made so many more memories with this game as I've grown, the fear of night being replaced by a fear of caves, and eventually when I began playing on pc and inevitably added mods: the fear of the super mutant mobs. I always liked messing with redstone, even if I was awful and inefficient at building it and even more so at making it look good, but I've grown better at it. I'm not Mumbo or Tango or any of the SciCraft members and still have a long way to go before I can call myself a redstone wizard, but I'm getting there. Minecraft's been such a huge part of my life, even if I don't have time for it anymore nowadays, but even rarer do I get the chance to stop and look back at where I once was and just how far I've come since then. It's like putting on diamond armor for the first time after running around in leather for so long. So thank you Minecraft, and only change for the better.

I just figured out that you can run old Alpha and beta versions online, and I've got to say, it's the best experience I've had with the game yet. The total brings back nostalgia. I remember I started playing in 4th grade, and my best friend Brennen would come over sometimes and play with me. Sadly he moved to Minnesota with his family. We still talk, but it's just so nostalgic. Come to think of it, that's after we (My Family) discovered multiplayer and creative modes. Lol. I remember being shocked when my dad and I found out how to make Cobblestone into Stone, and when it turned dark (We had an Xbox360 hucked up to a Tube-TV) we could not see a thing! All we could see where the darn spiders eyes! Lol. Some day, we can look back and remember when there where no mountains, or other weird things that veterans don't always get. We few can remember when Minecraft was just plain Minecraft. We will look back on this game and can tell our great grandchildren about this masterpiece, and how our lives where changed by this wonderful game. Thankyou to all who have made the "Minecraft Experience" a wonderful thing, and let Minecraft live on forever in our youth that was shaped by this game. The game called "Minecraft".

The good times. I don’t remember when I started playing Minecraft, around 10 years ago. I feel nostalgic when I see old Minecraft. The old music gives me SO MUCH NOSTALGIA. sometimes I almost feel like I’m going to have a panic attack listening to it. Especially Key, and Dry Hands. I wish they never changed the music. When I learned they did I felt so awful. Mostly what I remember, well, we would always play in creative, always in peaceful mode. So key things I remember are, the thing popping up saying that you can’t place these mobs because you are in peaceful mode. And, the extra number of items that didn’t do anything. And I still play Minecraft to this day. We always played on console. I also remember when my dad build a golden castle and we thought it was normal!! I remember the first time we found villagers!! Mojang can't bring back those days, Minecraft back then was so much more than a simple game. A mixture of the community and the state of technology made that era what it was. Before information was so widespread that we stopped thinking about ourselves, and began thinking about everybody in the world. During a time before the iPhone was a commodity. Before every kid had a computer. A time period that we will never, ever be able to bring back
