Its kind of a shame theres nearly as many removed biomes as there are current biomes in the current mod.

Damn, I got to the part covering the Flower Islands and immediately was reminded of DanTDM's crazycraft series and the house he made in that very same Flower Island Biome... or at least, I presume it's the same biome...

I think it's a massive shame that the only two ocean biomes in BoP were removed, even if they both essentially exist as is in vanilla now

After the Promised Land was removed, Celestial Crystals (the blue glowstone) were retextured to purple and moved to the End before being removed for real later on. There were also plans for End biomes that never came to fruition, though the blocks and a tree type (ethereal) did exist and were usable in creative mode.

So much nostalgia in this video. I remember playing with this mod as a kid and coming across the flower forest. One of the coolest minecraft experiences.

i remember the flower islands but I haven't play in a while so I didn't know it was removed, it looks so good

I love biomes o plenty I just wish it had mobs specifically to it

I get the sense that nothing was really lost with these removals. Vanilla Minecraft added better versions of all this save for the extra dimension which just looks like the Aether.

wait are you sure they removed the maple woods? it’s here in the 1.19.2 version. maybe they just haven’t added it to the 1.20 versions yet?

You might be right. It’s possible they removed it and then added it back or something. I started working on this video over a year ago so some of the info might be slightly outdated. Either that or I just made a mistake 😵

I hope they don't completely scrap the cherry trees, or at least revamp them into different trees, cause the cherry wood was one of my favorite wood types in the mod! Plus, the pink and white variants really made the biome feel unique! If they added a white variant to modern cherry trees, I'd be satisfied

I kinda wish the Coral biome was added back as a sorta transitional biome.

I could totally see the Promised Land being added to the Aether.

I love the BoP mangrove and bamboo more than vanilla, but prefer vanillas cherry grove

As it turns out even savannas were basically directly copied from BoP. Vanilla’s are a little better in my opinion but it’s really interesting to see.

The recoursepack pack is actually completely custom made by me, i haven’t done a public release anywhere but maybe I will someday. I use a bunch of different mods but for the most part optifine, and that shulker tooltips mod are really the ones I need the most.

I’m not sure if ebony was, but there are still a ton of features I didn’t even mention. I’m actually currently doing a 1.6 play through of biomes-o-plenty and I’m constantly noticing things.

actualy that mod is not famous for having biomes before classic minecraft ,its mojang famous for copying every mod and game features to minecraft due of their lazy minded brains,they are too lazy to think and create something original like how notch did and he was original,nothing can replace him.
