​@@chesschad81 Are you unaware that swords kill iron golems quicker? If a speedrunner gets a sword in a chest, they'll take it. Yes, crafting a sword is usually a time loss, since axes also chop wood and are usually better for blaze fighting(diamond swords are actually better, but runners usually don't have that), but I wouldn't go that far. I'd say speedrunners use axes most of the time, probably around 90%, not all. If you get only two diamonds in a blacksmith, a diamond sword is definitely worth it.

No, he had an insane Nether. A fortrest, a bastion and a fossile. If u have a fossil in ur spornchunk in the nether, u can locate the stronghold.

Those late to the party will never understand how phenomenal, how unbelievable this run was and how much it was ahead of its time. Even though it has been broken multiple times many still consider it the best run of all time including myself, the fact that it was the first sub 11 and the first sub 10, it broke the last 5 minutes barrier, was more than 90 seconds faster than the second fastest and, it remained on the top longer than any other run. Truly a one in a million. Congrats Brentilda for making history.

No matter the circumstances Brentilda’s 9:36 will forever remain the BEST Minecraft Speedrun ever of all time, and Brentilda will remain the GOAT of MCSR.

And the run has officially been verified and retimed to 9:36! Congrats on the big achievement!

@@wrqe The timing method at the time this run was conducted was in-game time, meaning pauses didn't count towards the final time at all. This run was allowed to stand as it would be unfair to strip Brentilda of his record over a rule that didn't exist at the time, but the timing rules have since been changed and unnecessary pauses now count toward the final time.

@@mattstaib1290 Still subject to exactly the same rules as any other pause. Since no pauses counted at all at the time this run was conducted, those pauses aren't counted either.

Hm I can see but your points but I wouldn't put that much hate on CFY he did credit this guy a lot more then other speedrunners and although at the time I'm commenting this, CFY's vid is at 75k views and this vid is at 11k views so I understand but after I watched CFY's video I went to watch brentilda bcuz he is absolutely insane and I definitely do think that Brentilda's video should get more attention.

@@sno0zer it really just lets him think while not advancing time, some people think its unfair but i for one am for it, anyone can pause and it only helps people with worse PCs or if you just wanna think more idk xd in this case he used it to go back in his stream VOD to figure out using divine travel fossil where stronghold was near, and build a portal to exit there

@@jadenwu7006 fair, i was more thinking pausing for world loads but thats already allowed, although if thinking during pauseing was banned it would be hard to tell the difference and the rules would have loopholes etc "im not thinking in changing render distance and loading world!" what i mean is that it is hard to control pausing and thinking, so might as well leave it allowed then to disallow all pausing and make it hard to speedrun with some bad irl coincidences (teacher suddenly calling on you in zoom class xd thats more a me thing prob) or slow computer load speeds

this whole thing was just insane

So if you compare his real time with the old record’s ingame time, then you would be right, but it doesn’t make sense to compare different timing methods, because that would defeat the point of a fair comparison

Why would he compare the rta time to previous wr rta time when he used the word "even". Which means hes saying not only did his igt beat the previous wr igt, but his rta also beat the previous igt
