Same. I love this concept. Zombie sieges are boring because all it does is spam zombies on the village, easily dealt with. Mob attacks only target you, so just move away from the village. But this is amazing

I got the bad omen effect for 90 minutes then I just drank milk

2:55, it said ''Sorry'' very quickly at the bottom edge of the Villager's cheek.

Luckily i wont have to worry about my custom village. It is encased with an obsidian wall. And sits up higher in the center. Plus it is guarded 24-7 with 11 iron golems.

Not gonna matter. Its 40 blocks off the ground. All the villagers are in the wall area well guarded by ceilings as well as walls and golems. I upped it to 40 golems and have material for 100 more, if needed. 😁👍

You may not have to worry about a raid, But you could have to worry about Spawned Withers breaking in, Or Ender Dragons flying to your place, destroying most of your village.

yesterday was my first time playing the update and I made my house near a village. I was collecting wood when a Pillager "troop" shot me. I killed them all including their leader and got the bad omen affect for 99 minutes. without knowing what it was, I assumed it did nothing and continued into the village. I got like 3 - 5 waves of raids without realizing

I got a bad omen effect that lasted for 95 minutes

Good god, me too. It lasted for 99 minutes and 59 seconds. Whole thing was a goddamn nightmare. My armor was weak and there were no cows around, so no milk. Ended up running away like a coward after struggling for an hour.

Sul DaBul i was out exploring and found one of the pillagers’ outpost things, and killed them. About 2 minute later I went into a village and started a raid that had rhinos and evokers (thanks for the totem of undying tho)

Minecraft can now be fun for once finally *A QUEST TO SOMETHING GREAT!!! OTHER THAN WE USUALLY DO*

What do you think of the pillager outpost and village raid mechanic? Battling the raids in survival is a lot of fun. Just make sure you have decent armor and an iron golem or two to watch your back :).

@@landencolomer1395 Nice ideas. The update is still being developed so perhaps there will be a reward. For the raids you first need to get the bad omen effect which requires finding an illager patrol with a leader and killing it. You then need to walk into a village while having this effect. Both of these would be hard to do if your not within range of a village.

They don't really need to add Guards, they just need to buff the Iron Golems. Maybe in Snowy Villages Snow Golems could spawn too

@@viktorthevictor6240 Villages aren't supposed to have the outposts. But they glitch and have them spawn with in the bounds. Pillager outposts can still spawn like 60 blocks away from villages, or they can be randomly spread across the world.

Hopefully you need to do something to trigger raids rather it being automatic. Nothing difficult or complicated to trigger. Hopefully getting the bad omen is the only way. I'd hate for this to be automatic. I'd like to keep trading villagers for much better trades to keep and not lose them to raids.

We live in a tent in order to not disturb the villagers. We built a redstone system that triggers multiple bells scattered around in the village in case of a raid. We made a cool banner to use as our "flag". We also have snowmen and iron golems. So far no one has died in a raid. Only some iron golems. We built a watch tower that has snowmen in it, we stand in the tower and shoot pillagers. We are nice to the villagers and trade occasionally. We fixed some things in the village too. There were some random holes in the ground and there were some grass blocks where there was supposed to be path blocks. But we're humble about it. We live in our tent, with our horses and campfire. We do not care about praise or being referred to as heroes. We just want to help.
