Why are the words hitting me so hard?
I’m sharing this with some close friends who are going through a faith transition. This song meant so much to be during my own transition, and it still does.
Thank you for being there musically through my whole journey. We didn't stray from any path. We followed the one we knew was right for us.
I knew all along I have always been a soul wandering around in this world finding it trueself hoping to succeed one day. This song perfectly depicts my life in the mean time. And I know for sure I am not the only one ♡

I hate the fact that most people who leave Christianity are doing it because of some horrific cult-y abuse they've suffered - like if you read the Bible and knew nothing about human history, you would expect the opposite, and it should indeed be the opposite, so in effect we are abusing people and shooting ourselves in the foot in the process, all while thinking we're doing the right thing and holier-than-thou (what part about "put others before yourself", including all the times that instruction is given to people with power over others, don't they understand????)
