This home tour is an exploration of a fascinating mind. It must be quite something to be his sister! I need to meditate now on what his mind just said to mine about a whole lot more than I can put into words. I thought I’d rather say this to you then to everyone else responding to his tour. Glad you commented, and I can only begin to imagine what it’d be like to visit in person.

So...he's a musician, a maker of instruments, a sous chef, a woodworker, a carpenter, a builder, an interior designer...Basically a modern day Renaissance man with unmatched vigilance and skill.

I am an interior designer and what this brilliant and unbelievably talented man has created is art. He is living in and enjoying every day the expression of himself. What an extraordinary, passionate and focused genius. This is truly creating, executing and then living the dream!

Christo is a true artisan. As a woodworker/cabinet maker, I can appreciate the amount of work that went into creating this house. The way he created the space, with the overall color scheme throughout, and the use of different wood species to create that color scheme is amazing and harkens back to the Craftsmen era. The way he designed the storage around the appliances is creative and awe-inspiring with its symmetry and balance. The most impressive home I have ever seen. I would take this home over any million-dollar mansion in a heartbeat!

I 2nd your comment, Christo mentioned Frank Lloyd Wright, the nod I see to him is all of the beautiful woods and natural light. Wood is the most cohesive material mankind has, followed by stone & glass. Christo did an amazing job for sure.

This is a beautiful home. I love that it's on a foundation, because we don't always see modern tiny houses on foundations. The millwork is stunning. I also love that he incorporated his love of music and books. You don't have to sacrifice what you love to live small, and this home is proof of that.

This is one of the most luxurious and aesthetically pleasing tiny spaces I have ever seen. The entire house speaks volumes of the owner’s personality, as if the house itself is an extension of them. I have been following living tiny movement for a long time so I have come across many amazing projects but this is something different altogether.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so much in awe of someone and he seems so humble about the whole thing The house is magnificent

My landlord chose me to live in a tiny former bedroom (separate entrance) of the bigger house because he said he liked my vibe. I told him I didn't know I had one.😅 I've been here too long. Considering this video is a tiny house, it's about 5 times bigger than what I live in; it would feel like the Taj Mahal.

As an architect specializing in studios and ADU's since the 70's, I seldom respond to most designs in this design area, but this creation reflects the owner in its expression of warmth and natural beauty. Kudos for an impressionable effort so rare in this nearly sterile movement of just enough space.

Hands down my favorite tiny/small house featured on a KZread channel yet. A work of art to be sure. Christo is a very talented individual ... layers and layers of talent ... that manifest in this finished product. Really appreciate Christo sharing his private space with us.... and some philosophy to boot.

I've just saved this video so that I can watch it again. This house is stunning. Putting bottle corks, cigar boxes, waste timber, wine bottles, and so many items, normally discarded, together is just astonishing and saves things going to landfills. The sheer beauty of the house is beyond compare. Christopher is a very talented man. The house tour, disclosing all the magical features, is a work of art in itself.

This is one of the very few tiny homes that has an actual standing 2nd floor! Really great design. Love this house.

@@TinyHouseExpedition I've already watched it a couple of times, because it's an amazingly beautiful design! There's a couple of things I wish I could've seen- like how he did the front cubby holes on his steps (hinged lids or something else, etc.) and what he did with his corner cupboards in the kitchen - lazy susan, shelves, something else. I'm curious, because everything is thoroughly thought out, so he probably thought these out for their best use too.

@@habba929 Roughly three years to design and downsize, two years to find property, a year to tweak my plans to meet code and to prep the lot for the build, and about 3.5 years to build from start to finish... weather permitting and in between work shifts, some build days were six hours and others were fourteen hours. I definitely slowed down during the winter months. I had help from others with framing, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

His hands should be insured for millions. I love his mind!!!! Sir you're brilliant. Just brilliant. I love your cozy home 💕

He has built an AMAZING piece of art. His home is incredibly warm and beautiful while very functional. I would be proud to live in a home like this.

To say this is a Mind Blower is an understatement.. The creativity, artistry and craftsmanship in unbelievable. I loved his comments about the journey he took with the creation and the meaning of Wabi Sabi. Fantastic. He should truly be proud.

Wow! I agree that this entire house is a work of art, made with found objects as many artists say. I, personally like the fact that it’s built on a foundation, giving him the opportunity to raise the roof and offer standing room in both lofts! I also really like the beauty he added to the lofts with the big square windows between stacked smaller windows! Beautiful! I wish him well in his tiny house!

While I can’t necessarily see myself inhabiting a tiny home I’m drawn to these videos for the sheer ingenuity and creativity behind these spaces. This is probably my favorite I’ve seen so far. I’m blown away by the thoughtfulness, craftsmanship, and overall design of this home.

I normally do not like the all wood look in a house, but this is beautiful!! It feels homey, yet a work of art throughout the whole house. Love that wine corks and cigar boxes were used in the design. Absolutely beautiful tiny home.

This is definitely one of my favorites yet, and I've viewed hundreds over the past few years. I absolutely love this home and all of the creative uses for the items he repurposed. He is truly an artist and creative genius, right down to making his own musical instruments.

Most tiny homes look very temporary to me. IMO, they’re just too small and have too many compromises for (most) people to live long-term. I realize that this one is on a foundation and able to be a touch bigger. But, this looks like the minimum size for a long term home.

I don't think I've ever appreciated a tiny house more than this one. The stairs wouldn't work for my disability, but the rest would. It's beautiful and makes so much sense.

Very nice! So much creativity in design and repurposing. Beautiful kitchen and great size. Doesn't feel like a tiny house at all.

Christo, The truth is, you are a creative genius. You simply have no idea that you are. I bet throughout your life, everyone else seemed odd; you couldn't figure out why you were always unhappy with the people around you trying to place you into a box. Every single area of your home is a work of art. You should consider inviting others once a week to dinner outdoors. You'll get a chance to show off the kind of food you really wanted to create for others to experience when you were in the restaurant industry. Then, add some musicians to play your music. You would probably have a ball. Okay, ...maybe once a month.... invitation only. Thank you for inviting others to see your beautiful work. It was spectacular!

I absolutely love this house period. Sometimes I find that some tiny homes are too small or feel to clinical. This house is useful, efficient, warm and inviting. He did a great job. Also a bonus was most of this material to create the tiny house was almost sent to a landfill.

I know he had a bit of an advantage with extra size/foundation, but this is absolutely the best design I've ever seen. Truly gorgeous.

I have never heard a more articulate and truthful motivation for building a tiny home, and that powerful motivation has created a work of art.

Just a work of art, what talent Christo has, it's all so beautiful. Beside the incredible artistry and vision, I am just in love with the size of this house. It's the first tiny house that I could imagine myself actually living in, because it's got an actual open, "full" sized living area---I can't imagine not having at least a full-sized couch and room to move around, to spread out projects. Wondering if, once he knew he had to build on a foundation, he considered making more of a square footprint instead of a long trailer-type structure. Also, where are all his guitars?

I'm a 64 year old man, and when I grow up, I want to be just like you! 😊 You are extremely eclectic and I am in awe of everything that you have done and shared with us. Thank you so much and the house is awesome 👍🏾💪🏾

Without a doubt, of all the channels I follow of Tiny Houses, this is the build with which I most identify, both in terms of aesthetics, size, choice of materials and the amount of money spent on its construction! I usually don't comment on these tiny home videos, but, this home just blew me away. All the woods used are so beautifully done. And he had a great story to tell. Thank you for sharing Christo. My grandfather built their little cabin in the U.P. of Michigan all by himself. Had himself a personal makeshift sawmill, back in the early to mid 1930's. It was my favorite place to be. Woods, a creek out back and a view of the lake out the dining room. It was small, two rooms. One was the eating, sitting and kitchen area. The other room had two full sized beds in it. Heated with a cast iron wood burner, along with the cast iron cook stove. So looking at your beautiful home sure brought back all the smells of woods and grandma cooking up fantastic food on that stove. Nothing like homemade bread out of one of those woodburning cook stoves.

This is a beautiful home. I love Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, and when I saw this, it was the first thing I thought of. I'm also from the UP and have enjoyed staying in cabins built by friends and family. My tiny cabin is almost finished, and I hope to be moving in soon. It's not as fantastic as this one, but he has given me some wonderful ideas.

I love the fact that you built on a foundation!!! I love the fact that in doing so you still stayed under 500sf!! The layout is spot on and the fact that you recycled the larger portion of it makes it a that much more incredible!! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The creative use of your design and materials. Was very cool always good to find bargains - repurpose what' s available. It a very well thought out space. Also very beautiful. I love it!!!!.

He seems like a nice guy who has learned to find balance in his life. He is justifiably proud of what he has accomplished, yet is humble at the same time. Good work!

Undoubtedly this is the most unique and beautiful tiny home that I have ever seen. This man is incredible. I have a hubby with advanced Alzheimer’s disease and I often watch these and think about this lifestyle for my future. And this video was really incredible.

This is, hands down, THE coolest (not so) tiny house I've seen! It's beautiful and so well executed. I also love that you've made a space for music. I've always thought that would have to be my biggest sacrifice should I decide to go tiny.

Even the opened shelves in the kitchen look so nicely spaced. I find in a lot they look like a crowded mess. He can standup in the lofts. Perfection.

I think upper cabinets are the only thing I’d want to change in this genius build. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Design and I’m picky so that’s two strikes against anything I see from the start. I’m wonderfully surprised about this. One question: where are all his woodworking tools? I don’t think they can be in his trash/outbuilding structure due to humidity/rust issues.

I’m speechless. I can’t recall being more impressed with an individual in my life. His gifts are too many to mention, but they’re honed to a glorious end result. God bless his beautiful soul. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

I'm a musician, and this is basically the tiny house I've been attempting to dream of the last several years--trying to figure out how a double loft might work, with the 2nd being for a recording studio. I just hadn't imagined it as beautifully as this guy did. At $80k, I could pull that off too in theory, but of course, that is his number cus he has the skill to build it himself. Damn I wish I had that skillset. I could totally live in a space like this and finally ditch the corporate life. I wonder how much this build would be if you factored in labor. But good lord, this place is perfect. And, unlike most other tiny homes, it has a full, actual kitchen, and real headroom in the lofts. I am going to watch this video regularly and frantically try to figure out how the hell I might pull something like this off.

Go search for pre-built cabins. I'm in Missouri and we have a lot of companies(many are Amish) that sell pre-built cabins/tiny homes that are just a shell (the entire cabin framed with siding and roof) for less than 20k. For an additional cost they can finish the entire interior. I know a lot will even accept designs if you are interested in doing a double loft. Not sure how much carpentry you can do yourself, but I know most people can DIY the interior if they have a completed shell to work with. I know of people who have finished an entire 16'x40' place for less than 50k.

I'm a musician too and was thinking the same thing. I don't have the skill set to do all of that work myself or enough money to invest in all of the extras. But dam it's perfect huh.

The intro hit the nail on the head. This is one of the most beautiful, well thought-out tiny homes I have ever seen. Thanks for bringing all of us into this awesome creation.

This is one of the nicest well built tiny houses that does not feel tiny.I think the colour scheme has flowed through so nicely ,I like the mixed colours of the woods.The kitchen and front room are my favourite spaces,they are cosy.With lots of light coming in too.And the bedroom.The whole feel of the place is masculine,but not overpowering ,and I like that although it feels like a cabin ,and it is masculine there’s no dead animal parts like horns etc on the walls.I also like the hight of the lofts too ..I can see He put a lot of love and care into this home.and his workmanship is beautiful. 🥰

Wow, he has a piano. In a loft. Aside from the stunning beauty and hidden gems of the house, the fact that he was able to shove so much equipment into a loft is astonishing.

This man is amazing! I've never seen anybody this creative before! Not only has he built a house out of scrap and made it look beautiful but he's taking his parents obsessions and used it to! He's also into creating musical instruments and also be a composer!!!

This build is a masterpiece. I wish there were construction companies that would offer tiny builds.

The most beautiful thing is that he really built it for himself. It's the way he enjoys practical thing and also brought his own esthetic. Wonderful work.

Honestly, this is one of the most amazing tiny house i ever seen. Inside and outside, its a very well design, and the surrounding area is also so peaceful. I have to say that this guy have a multi-talent. He can be an interior designer as well, I love how he using a cigarette box, wine bottles, cork in his interior. Good idea.
