It’s to avoid potential lawsuits. Almost all fresh food companies do this. If someone were to fall sick from a food item given away for free as it was ‘going in the bin’ then that could easily be a lawsuit from the person who got sick saying they gave them food poisoning etc etc. Also to avoid dependency and fighting - due to differing amounts of food at the end of each day, so those in need could become dependant on the place for food but not get a share one time and start fights with others and/or the employees etc. People are also just AH’s and will absolutely abuse the system to get a free donut or whatever, when they are financially okay themselves.

The Dunkin’ Donuts throwing away their leftovers has a reason. If a single person gets sick from an old donut, the employees and the company could get in big trouble.

  • @Zakrusta

yea the story about Dunkin throwing away donuts went viral in Reddit a couple of times. They say it's mainly because they want to avoid lawsuits from people being sick from old donuts. Even giving it away to the homeless wasn't feasible, because the homeless was bound to be dependent on Dunkin, and also they would fight if there wasn't enough donuts

Yep. People wanting those leftover donuts are the same people that’ll take your ass to court if they get sick from it. Like fam, there’s a reason they need to throw it away. Not to mention, one donut alone has so much sugar in it. Giving away donuts to the homeless would mean that their diet would be very unhealthy as they would just rely on it.

7:43 Winnie the Pooh is a boy. He is referred to as "he" in AA Milne's books and in the Disney cartoons his voice has always been provided by a man. But, it turns out that the real-life bear he is named after, was actually a female black bear named Winnie . That guy has not said anything that's correct. 8:09 that's also not true, at least not for me. I can feel it when I pinch it

If you type in all caps you can change it in the start bar. In the start bar you have a symbol at the top left side (Aa), if you click on that you get the option to change it.
