Great lights. Now you need to compare to Husky’s light option for $15!!

I have both and most folks are going to go with whatever batteries they already have. There is one thing that has been frustrating with the Ryobi in that at some angles because the hinge area is not round (like the Milwaukee) the magnet is forced away from the surface so it’s prevented from getting a strong attachment. Both lights are great (the Ryobi is less than half the cost)

I will say, the Ryobi flip ups don't last as long as I would like at all, on high settting. I've not measured it. I'm guessing somewhere in between 1 to 2 hours though. I mostly have Dewalt, but I've invested a little in around 7 batteries 2 lights, and a few other of these USB battery tools for small stuff. (Magnifying glass, rotary tool). Rotary tool, the metal retainer fell out immediately LMAO). I try to look for deals on batteries though, as I'm not paying 25 to 30 JUST for a battery. I do very much like the lights though, they do a good job, batteries are easy to change etc. They have helped me out big time recently.

I recently bought the Ryobi light and it came with the 2amp battery, not the 3 amp. Nor was a belt clip included. Is there a newer version?

Both Ryobi and Milwaukee are TTI. Are the USB Lithum batteries compatible? Of course not. But why?!?!

Neither are made or makes from one another, but They are made from same company factory. That's why some of the tools are alike very identical. If you take a look at that ryobi usb inspection light (fvl56) the led lighting has that same identical face of the Milwaukee rover we see on the video. Both running at 550 lumens, huh I wonder why. Take a loot at the ryobi hp (high performance series) those are pretty much the m12 series of Milwaukee, i could be wrong about the Milwaukee series comparison. Im more loyal with ryobi, specially with the new line up of tools they have been releasing lately and surprisingly has stepped up their game being able to keep up with the other top of the line competitors at HD. I like Milwaukee too, more towards on the hand tools, they do have and offer nice hand tool gadgets along with the quality built, but I gotta say the pricing on those will hurt your pocket, and we all know collecting tools do get expensive...

Milwaukee should stick to m12 and ryobi should stick to usb. Milwaukee is targeted at the pros anyways so usb tools would be useless and the occasional usb light just doesn't make sense when theres m12 lights. Ryobi has the usb line for the homeowner first and foremost

The glue and soldering pens from the usb ryobi line are pretty awesome as an AV tech. I’m going to grab this and the inspection light from them just because they’re cheap and use the same batteries. I’m a Milwaukee fan boy but ryobi is doing a great job on this usb line.

Gonna have to disagree. Most of us service tech tradesmen carry tool bags. I use m12 if I'm gonna be in 1 spot for more than an hour. But the milwaukee usb is awesome because I can use the same rechargeable batteries in my flashlight and head lamp. With an extra battery in my bag. M12 is just too big for the bag, and I use m12 over m18 99% of the time.
