    Still hoping for a bottom roller pack out with a drawer or cabinet so the whole stack doesn't need to come apart.

    Yeah they should copy rigid and have the handle/wheels attach to any box. Would be sick if the handle came off and turned into a fully functional dolly as well.

    Yep.. It's a HUGE miss by Milwaukee that the main roller base is something that you have to take everything off of to access.

  • @KZ-yy9pm

    @KZ-yy9pm

    Жыл бұрын

    I’ve been saying from day 1 how stupid the pack out is for this reason. You need something from the bottom box you have to unload everything. I think DEWALT used to have a hand truck that used a system similar to its wall mount brackets where you could access any part of your stack but I’m just against all these rolling boxes. Buy a magliner.

    @@KZ-yy9pm Dewalt still makes that hand truck. And it's also built way better than Milwaukee's version too. (and still doesn't have the bottom box issue if you need an XL box with large tools at the bottom)

    @@jaywelker5566 Interesting, the only way using a pack out made sense was if you had 2-2 drawer boxes at bottom. Then 1-3 draw box in the middle. At the top either a crate or a couple hardware cases this way nothing really has to come off. But with Milwaukee I’ve heard hand truck was trash so stuck with dolly only. This set up is possible with dewalt but if that hand truck still exists and doesn’t suck then you can build really however you want. I was under the impression it didn’t exist because I haven’t seen one for sale, in person or on social for a couple years.

    @@grantdeisig1360, I’ve used the M12 Jigsaw professionally. It doesn’t lack power, what it lacks is the front blower, to move away debris from the cut line. However, having said that…the new M12 Fuel Jigsaw should produce more strokes and power, which typically means quicker and smoother cuts. I’m looking forward to getting one. Hopefully they’ll attach a promo that included es a free battery, so I can take advantage of the hack, getting it for 40% to 50% off retail.

    A couple of these patents came true for packout 2024, like the angle grinder, packout exterior accessories, shopvac, m12 jigsaw. For the heated gear we unfortunately got a new flat proprietary battery with new proprietary connector. We didn't get the packout backpack but did get a slide box box. I was really hoping to see the m12 rcompact router and redlithium L4 tools, especially looking forward to a single/dubble 4/8 V ratcheting multipurpose screw driver for large and small hexbit solutions and with variable power and rotation speeds for el3ctrolics repairs and diverse home and jobs item screws and hexbolts with longer sleaker bit support as well for reaching those deep holes where screws and fastners lie deep. Preferably a model that can be twisted into both a barrel grip or pistol design and maybe also have dwewalts guro activation system. That would solve so many tools in one instead of having 10s of tools laying around. And L4 battery distance laser tool to measure distance would also be nice, or an L4 battery headlight that can be mounted/dismounted from the headband magnetically.

    Very interesting patents. I'm most happy to see the expansion or the redlithium usb (aka 4.0 and 8.0 volt) systems expansion. I have a lot of L4 batteries lying around. Wish I could do more with them than lights only. I'm a bit disappointed about the gun type screwdriver. Was hoping an upgrade of the current model that can be interchangeably be used as a barrel or gungrip intermittently that are also compatible with the L4 batteries. A patent idea in missing is making the milwaukee ratchet screwdrivers into electric ones using the L4 batteries. I think the foldable 12 Volt battery for the heated jacket is a bad patent and design. I was thinking more in the line of daisy chaining 4 to 6 L4 batteries in series or parallel in a belt and holster type configuration, integrated in the heated jacket and other clothing. I think that would be a much better and less bulky design. With 3 or 6 L4 batteries, you basically have the same as on 12V 3.0 or 6.0 amp battery, and less bulky. The packout ideas are simply wonderful aditions to the current llineup

    As an improvement to current batteries I was hoping to see an improvement of battery battery balancing technology integrated in the batteries or chargers. There are so many videos on battery issues with milwaukee batteries. A lot are related to cell imbalance. Cell balancing pcb technologies have improved over the years for longer battery life, bit I haven't seen them yet on the newer milwaukee batteries of an of the milwaukee battery line up. Have been balancing cells with milwaukke batteries for a while now. Would be nice of this was integrated better within the battery with a push of a button, the battery, or better integrated cell balancing features within all the milwauke, battery line ups.

For instance, you have a production run where you don't want to keep changing batteries or you have limited battery charging, or you don't want to run batteries through charging and discharging cycles.

    Sometimes the product design engineer comes up with a product idea on their own, but a lot of the time it's just the product manager or marketing asking us to figure out how to make their idea into something that actually works. :)

    @@MadLadsAnonymousAgreed! I've been waiting over 5 years for a gen 2 M18 Surge. Lol. +300-500IPM as well as the the 4000k true view (high CRI) LED's in Tri-light configuration (like they have on the new high torque impact wrench) with 600-700 in lbs with +300-500rpm just like you said would be fantastic! Keep it the same size or even + ½" longer wouldn't be a deal breaker to me. Keep the same noise or slightly quieter. Some of these new impacts are so small now and the batteries are longer than the tool and I find that I prefer a 6" long bit unless it absolutely can't fit in a space, then I'll use a 2" bit. The Surge's are by far my most used tool on the jobsite. Absolutely love those tools. Much better than Makita's soft impact version which I also own.

    I literally put 3D printed cleats on my M18 fan because it takes up nearly and entire large Packout box and it’s annoying unstacking everything to put it somewhere useful and then when you have to move to a different area it always falls off my Packout so that’s why I put Packout cleats but if I tilt my Packout or stop too abruptly my fan will still fly forward and fall so a REAL Packout fan would be an instant purchase

    When I speculated they shared research, it was for the Ryobi 18V inverter and the M18 Top Off that came out in close succession. So while they may not share engineering development efforts, I suspect Milwaukee/Rigid/Ryobi do share common broad "directives" from TTI on what type of projects to work on.
