    We need an update to their miter saw lineup. Dual battery 12in miter saw with plug in option would be sweet. 7.25in needs update to accuracy/calibration. I've had the saw break twice on me. They also need to redesign their stand system from the ground up.

    @@rowankeltizar5961 that’s not true I have the 10” and use it for work every week and I get good run time and decent performance. That saw has also been out for years now and the technology has gotten much better. DeWalt has switched from 2 batteries to one on there new saw as well . Especially now with the new segmented motors and battery technology that they just introduced I don’t think performance is going to be an issue. A two battery tool puts them at a disadvantage to every competitor that is achieving the same performance with one battery. I understand it’s an 18 V platform compared to Makita and Dewalt but per square inch the actual capacity of the battery does not change. Larger voltage batteries are also pushing lower amps compared to a lower voltage battery with higher amps because you can’t get around with physics of volume and mass. I do agree with the overall design and they need to be updated. The calibration on the 10 inch can be a nightmare. There’s a lot of deflection cutting anything nested strangely though cutting compound miters it’s dead on. I hope they switch to a forward rail design like Makita, Festool, Matabo.

    9:40 hedge trimmers are pretty low power (100-200W), line trimmers low-ish (unless you really laying into thick brush), but blowers are definitely up there (400-800W). Can't really see it working unless they're running at fairly high voltages.

    I've run a reverse image search on the snowblower a few days ago and the image is the Ryobi model, so I think the intent of the patent is only the chute features for now.

  • @DoresoomReviews

    @DoresoomReviews

    Ай бұрын

    Yeah, the claims focus on the anti-clogging chute features. They likely just grabbed an image to copy for the patent drawing if it was in the early stages of development and they didn't have CAD models available.

    I was thinking about Ryobi and Milwaukee's USB line of tools. Ryobi is too deep into the lineup (and we know they dont change batteries ever) but Milwaukee should take the opportunity to revamp their line and change the batteries from 18650 cells to 21700 tabless batteries while they still can.

    And there's the call out for RTK GPS in the patent. Last time I looked, RTK hardware is still quite expensive and also has a lot of signal issues in urban environments. This is a pretty good idea on paper but doesn't REALLY work IRL and sadly RTK's precision is needed for it to work.

  • @DoresoomReviews

    Interesting point! I hadn't researched how accurate GPS had gotten. When I worked as a land survey tech almost 20 years ago, we had a GPS system that was accurate to under 1 cm after tying into a nearby benchmark. If I remember correctly, it was a $40,000 piece of equipment though. I figured it had gotten much better/cheaper since then.

    I know this will never ever happen. And if it did the closest company would be Ryobi. But. Kitchenaid had cordless kitchen stuff and now has interchangeable battery cordless kitchen stuff. If I could have a M12 hand mixer and immersion blender I would be happier than a pig in poop.

  • @DoresoomReviews

    @DoresoomReviews

    29 күн бұрын

    M12 immersion blender would be awesome, just make sure you don't get your kitchen batteries and your drain snake batteries mixed up. Makita might be the most likely though - they already have a coffee maker and microwave!

  • @toolscientist
    @toolscientistАй бұрын

    I'm usually all for cordless, but the arborist line launcher seems dumb. If you needed to launch a line every 10s, then yeah, it would make sense. For anything else I imagine a speargun type device or foot pump potato cannon would do the job and be indestructible. Just searched and there's already stuff like that. BigShot is a big pole with a slingshot (a bit unwieldy, but you could easily shrink it with a crossbow type mechanism). Then there's the APTA which gets fully charged with 33 pumps of a track pump. Looks like you could easily do 1 shot per minute.

The most advance city you used to have was Atlantis though destroyed in a explosion by terrorist so I don't look for it. The more primitive people were told it was sunk so they Wouldn't try looking for it and wouldn't worry about the terrorist. Now Earth is primitive though you at least you have enough technology to try to keep records of events. Lots happen in this era later.
