The quarter inch nut driver is underestimated and usually not mentioned in people's "reviews" but very helpful tool
By far the best utility knife out there.
Bought one of these in a Home Depot combo pack. Definitely the best iteration of all the Milwaukee knives. One of my favorites. Opens and closes quick. Thanks for sharing!
By far the best utility blade knife out there. Great review, only thing you missed is it has a bottle opener
I’ve carried one everyday at work for a year now. The pros are it comes with a #2 Phillips where almost every slim pocket screwdriver is a #1. The in-line driver is a nice feature. The biggest con is the bit holder. It can get hard to remove the bit. There is a wire retaining ring in the holder that keeps it in place that can come out. The worst feature is that the bit can come loose in the holder while closed and it goes into the knife. You have to either pry it back into the holder or hit it hard to get the bit back in place to open it up. Still a great knife. I’ve now introduced and gotten about a half dozen guys to carry it at work as well.
This tool is fantastic. A little bulky but it's EDC for me and I use it EVERY DAY.
Fastback with the screwdriver is one of my favorites!
you missed the bottle opener! i got 6 of these before xmas when home depot had them for $10. great edc, great for glove box

I didn’t miss the bottle opener the first three times I tried to make this video. Just missed when it matters.
Thanks for this review. I have used this utility knife for the last several months, and really like it. Although I always carry a pocket knife, this has become the primary tool I use to cut things, and the bit driver can handle many of the daily tasks that come up. It has become indispensable. Once Knife Pivot Lube is applied, it flips open and closed incredibly well.
I've been carrying one of them for some time now. Love it! Due to the knife and screwdriver being so accessible on that I no longer carry a Leatherman in addition to it, but have switched to several small dedicated Knipex pliers. I can fit three in the Knipex belt pouch. Works best for my application.
The 1505 is the best of the best of the best...with honors!
I use the one with the regular partially serrated blade as my daily carry, even though I have other knives (many much more expensive). The one you reviewed with the utility knife does not flick quite as well, but is excellent if you prefer the razor blade. Keep up the good work, I watch all of your videos.
Thanks for a comprehensive overview of these tools, especially the 6-1, my personal favorite...the only thing not mentioned was the bottle opener...thanks also for the tip with the tape!
I keep it in my pocket every day doing construction. It's almost perfect. The only issue I have with it is that the retention ring for the bit can get mangled if you're not careful
That tape measure trick is mind blowing
I switched to the hook utility blades and I love them. They are so much better for almost all occasions.
I left one out over the summer for five months, the blade completely rusted, but the knife I didn't even have to oil it, it is still smooth. The only "damage" was the red color faded a little. I must have bought around 20 of them over the years, pretty much the only ones I use, other than very heavy roofing cutting where I use a big slide one.
I got the kit over a year ago with the 6-1 and the compact utility blade. They are by far my favorite utility knives, I also have my dads old Barlow pocket (which I keep at home so I don’t lose it) and the Gordon GK21 (cheap but decent quality for $10). I have leathermans as well but don’t love their weight … the milwaukees have taken place along with Knipex XS series for the plier part.
I've had the 6in1, and the regular foldover since the first week of availability. - 1. I want the clip on the 6in1, on other end. 2. Better, bit insert. - The knife, is decent. 🔪
I use my 1505 Every Single Day. It's part of my EDC (Outside of Left Pocket).🔨👍😁👍🔧
Nice review. A well thought out tool. 👍
Last best tool I appreciate your experience and good judgement based off experiences. Thank you
i carry this and a paramilitary 2 and i feel there is nothing i cant do. i use the fastback more.
My Fastback is my EDC, along with my Gerber Crucial! I use both daily!
Lol...I have them all, plus a couple not shown here. I like all the variations. You will find one you like for a work knife.
I'm really digging this knife. Utility blades are my preference bc I'm not a great sharpener. One extra blade is enough for me for an EDC. The best feature is the inline bit holder on the central axis of the tool. The lack of this feature is the main reason i don't carry a multi tool. I find them cumbersome. I can also do without the bottle opener, which is a ridiculous gimmick IMHO, but whatever. The price for the 48-22-1505 sounds excellent, so headed over to Amazon to pickup one of these right away! Thx!
The Hardline series from them is nice, roller bearing pivot.
1505 + victorinix ranger+thrunite bssv4 Perfect edc for me and at work
I've watched other videos there's an issue regarding the bit holder. The spring maybe pushed down or be displaced. Suggestions were presented like using magnet.
I want the Roxon multiblade folder.
Agreed
I have many knives, this is def top 3 of my EDCs. Wish it was just a little less bulky and the clip is a little agressive sometimes, but otherwise, near perfect knife.
I really want one of these but can never find them instore when I check.
I have the non replaceable blade/screw driver. The tanto blade is good for scraping, slicing, and prying. The serrations are not needed. Wish it didn’t have the liner lock on the blade end (the the utility knife) and that the screw driver would also lock at a 90 degree angle.
Im curious if the blades are interchangeable on the tools? I would love to swap one of the non serrated blades with the serrated blade in the 5 in one. Rhat would be a perfect EDC tool.
Can you use Leatherman bits with the 1505 bit driver?
What’s the item number for those whia double sided bits
On board razor blade not bit storage :-)
👍
And is that a bottle cap lifter on the front when the blade is stowed?

Yes. Missed it in this attempt at a video. Didn't try it, but looks like others that work including the Craftsman in the video.
Anyone know what the symbol means just below the pocket clip? I see the bottle opener symbol but what's the one below it in the corner?

There are three symbols - One for the bottle opener, one for the spare blade storage along the king edge of the knife, and the third is the generic “Wear Eye Protection!” Symbol.
If you are limited to carrying only a plier, a knife and a driver, what would your every day carry be?

I bought a combo pack with this one as a Christmas gift for my uncle who likes the bit driver for switch covers and stuff, but I hate this model. I don't need the bit driver, and I absolutely hate the fact that it has a bottle opener built into the front of it. As a non drinker I don't use bottle openers, and beyond that I just think the idea of incorporating a cap lifter into everything imaginable is asinine because there are endless ways to open a bottle without a cap lifter. I honestly don't think the Milwaukee fastback knives are that great because I think the flick out action is stupid and annoying, I do carry and use the 48-22-1500 but don't really like it that much. I think I'm going to check out their 58-22-1511 compact sliding utility knife.
What I don't like about these is the pocket clip position. They have the 4932478561 model, with the clip in a normal position.
