Hi Lloyd It's a nice to have but definitely not required for most diyers as a regular ratchet work for me well for 50 years :)

wow that impressed me Steve when you flattened the threads on that one side of the bolt and it got it off. Man I could have used that on many cars and Trucks that i have owned. I just have air ratchets never thought a cordless would be that strong but that Impact Ratchet does have some pretty nice features. Thanks for the demonstration.

Hi Larry This is more than powerful enough for all my needs. My regular m12 ratchet is so underpowered and for me a manual ratchet with arthritic hands is not so great :)

@@SteveRobReviews Yes I hear you there Steve I'm 72 and sometimes my Arthritis just cramps up my hands something awful. Of course going through Chemo Therapy now isn't helping much either.

Hi Steve, thanks for this review - I’ve been wanting a cordless ratchet for a while and the fact that this is impact as well makes it a perfect choice - $400 CDN for both tool and batt is a hard sell for me when I already have various ratchets and sizes. Thanks, enjoy the day - cheers

Hi Ed This is definitely not a tool most diyers need . A plain old ratchet is just fine . This is a nice to have tool . Cheers 👍

Excellent Review and very true. I myself have that old m12 brushed ratchet and would never trade in for the new ones. Its small and believe me, I tore down the Celica engine with the 1/2 wrench and the ratchet and it is built like a tank. And i recently got the m12 Impact 2564 and even though it has a specific job, i dont regret buying it. All my tools are Dewalt 12v, only the mechanic tools are m12 due to the small battery size and ability to get into tight spaces.

Great review as always, Like you, I hit a frozen fastener with Sea Foam Pen/ oil first . I certainly use my 12 volt ratchet a lot & this new tool looks impressive. But 400 big ones, is a big bite too. Keep the great vids coming👍👍👍👍

I liked your impact review and I’m just very happy the the old man thinks it’s great. For me it would occupy more real estate in the tool storage and I think I will wait for me to start putting some stuff away first before buying some more....good one Steve.....CHEERS

I'm waiting for them to go on sale. I always laugh when I hear people complaining about how weak their cordless ratchets are, not an impact! I just shake my head when these guys buy a 1600ft/lb impact for working on cars. You just know they're breaking bolts left and right. I've gotten my cordless ratchet stuck a few times. The last time was at the junk yard getting something for my old Hyundai. I was scared I was gonna have to leave it there but some guy let me use a ratchet a socket of his to loosen the engine mount to push the motor over just enough to get it loose!

Hi Bruce I agree , so much torque can be a bad thing unless your working on bulldozers:)

Looks like that would be handy for removing stuff from front of engine between radiator where normal impact won't fit, and some shock bolts you can't get to, it might struggle on those.

Hi Chase Yes exactly as they seem to place fasteners in some very tight spots today. A regular ratchet or breaker bar still does the job , this is definitely a want to have , not a must have :)

I'm thinking we strayed off topic a bit :) nice to have , I like it but not needed for most . The staged , bought and paid for reviewers would never tell ya it's not needed . I should start reviewing only tools you don't need , just to piss them off . LOL

This is an *right angle impact* . it is NOT a ratchet and cannot be used as a ratchet like the other Milwaukee ratchets. This is only an impact

  • @DIYVariety

Thats a great tool with some goo features i like the slowing down before its off. Lol i laugh too at people that use them to take rusted bolts off lol impact is the tool for that. I will be honest lots of times i use ratchet when its a long bolt and i break it free, the ratchet just makes quick time of it then say a spanner or manual ratchet.

Thanks Gary , 220 ft lbs max but the 1,2 settings are not so specific but 1 is 15 ft lbs on the rev setting as for the rest I'd say 1/3 2/3 them 3 -220 max.

I was thinking of getting that impact but I cant look past its long size lol . I've gotten my milwaukee ratchet stuck up again some meal part on a car while trying to remove a bolt , you sure will only do that once ! lol , luckily I was able to get in there with my pick and turn the knob on head to run the bolt back in.

Hi Johnathan As you can see it's much bigger but the rotation switch it at the trigger. This is massive in torque compared to the non impact ones. I think you would get lots of use out of it .
