Best way I found this works is put on another hoody and if its really cold a jacket over that. Holds the heat really well. My brother and I usually have to take our coats off.

I have had my Milwaukee heated hoodie for nearly 3 years now. I use if for touring on a motorcycle in all kinds of weather including down to 30-40 degrees. I believe you are selling this item short. It keeps me toasty on long rides of 3-4 hours. In fact without it I would not be riding in cold weather. We typically cruise around 70-75 mph on the highway, so it has to work or we would not continue to use it.

Ive been watching videos all night trying to figure out if its good for motorcycles! I have a DRZ400s that doesnt make enough power to run dedicated heated gear so I was hoping to use this instead.

Get the hoodie or the vest and it works great under a regular jacket! I highly recommend. The heat needs to be retained by another layer. I wear mine in Michigan winters and am sweating on the high heat setting!

He says he would only pay around $50-$60… let’s pretend there’s no heating element in this jacket at all. Regular hoodies go for around $40-$70 anyways, plus an M12 2.0 ah battery and a charger is at least $35. So what’s the problem with a $100 pricetag?

Gotta disagree. Rather strongly. Maybe you got a bum unit. As I am standing here writing this I am wearing my M12 Hoodie, I have the setting on high, and this thing is kicking out the heat. I'd almost go so far as too say hot. Just on the borderline of being too much, which IMO is perfect; after all this is the high setting, and I am not out in 5° weather. If I was, I would be so happy to have it. I work in a Plant that produces fresh vegetables and there is a constant temperature of 36°. It doesn't sound that cold, but when you factor in the soaking wet environment, and the chiller system constantly blowing cold air, it doesn't take long to freeze your ass off. Add in every nut, bolt, & piece of machinery you are working on being 100% stainless steel and very often 30 minutes work or more requires a trip off the floor to warm up. Not recently though. I gotta say this Milwaukee heated hoodie is a thousand times better than I ever imagined, and is worth every single penny. I usually wear, thermal, tank top, Tee shirt, zip up high collar sweatshirt, hooded sweatshirt, and workcoat. It is bulky and uncomfortable as hell, but is what you need to stay warm for any length of time. With this heated hoodie all I wear now is tee shirt, heated hoodie & long mechanics style work coat. I am exceedingly more comfortable and endlessly warmer. Today I worked for over 90 minutes and never even thought about the cold. Granted, my work conditions are different than most. IMO, as far as someone in my position goes, these M12 hoodies are the absolute best thing ever !! For someone considering buying one, IMHO, they kick ass, are warm as hell, are as comfortable and well built as a Carharrt sweatshirt, the 3 settings (hi-med-lo) are well temp'd. I really can't think of a bad thing to say. If you work outside all day, or work in a cold environment everyday, these hoodies are an absolute, 100% no brainer, necessity.

I actually think your right about getting a bad unit. I have been having a lot of issues with the wire coming disconnect for the battery back. I'm thinking maybe it never made great contact to begin with? I have to use duct tape just for the battery to keep juice going to the hoodie. What's a bummer
