    I'm not a fan of D2 as my Ontario Rat One is D2 and my Comwero belt knife is D2. Currently using the Comwero as a kitchen knife and there is a small spot of rust occuring on the blade. I like 1095 over D2. Actually I like 1095 over most steels. :-)

    Yeah D2 is not a stainless steel. Sometimes referred to as a semi stainless, it's chromium content is the issue there.
