This sounds just right , not too obnoxious and not too quiet. If it doesn’t have drone then its a perfect choice for my Type R

I was trying to figure out why i liked this particular blue type r so much, and its because you got rid of, or masked the red lining on the bottom of the car, all around. It looks much better this way.

They look like rays wheel,magnesium/super light , ce28's or something like ,had a set a while back, still my favourite looking wheel, only issue , make sure you keep brake dust at bay, wash wheels regular else they pit and peel bad.

No drone will driving on the highway, it sounds stock to be honest in highway driving conditions. WOT is another story. I can add that type of video on my list of to-do's

Ok, this is the one, this is THE ONE exhaust I want on my FK8 :) Is it the Militek MTS SSXHO254 or MTS SSXHO251 ?

I had a question. I just bought a Type R and I want to buy a Milltek Exhaust because the stock exhaust just sound too quiet. I hesitate between PART RESONATED ROAD+ like your's and the NON-RESONATED. But I'm afraid the NON-RESONATED will be too much for the road. I like deep sound but I like also can speech with somebody in the car on the highway. Are you satisfied with the PART RESONATED ROAD+? Is not too much on the cruise on the highway? Do you think NON-RESONATED will be too much for me? Thanks for your advise!!!

Currently own both cars, and I highly recommend you not do this. Just finished about 2,500 miles on the Type R exclusively and came back to the s2000, and it is truly a different animal. I love my Type R but honestly I love my s2000 more

Don’t do it. The new Type R is soulless in comparison to the S2000. There’s a reason why S2Ks are a rapidly appreciating modern classic.

Mark Hamilton they’re great but no would definitely not say rapidly appreciating. NSX and Supras were rapidly appreciating. These are still depreciated. Maybe in another 10 years or so they will be “rapidly appreciating”.

Hi Jonny! The sound of the Type R with the Milltek Road + system is incredible 😬. It is not loud, but you hear it. Just a sporty sound. I have a Type R FK8 too and I bought the same exhaust. I'm in love with the sound but I have a question... Have you done something to the exhaust? Something with the heat shields...? When I stop giving gas and the revs come down, it comes a rattle... Hey man, I hope you have already figured it out but I too have the same exact setup and the rattle noise you hear is typically from the front pipe hitting the lower heatshield *black heatshield* for the steering solenoid; my only remedy was to wrap the front pipe with exhaust wrap so its not metal on metal contact

Get rid of the stickers on the rear window and you got a winner. Love the liscen plate.

How are you liking the Eibach Pro-kit springs? Also, why did you switch to Pro-kit when you had the Sportline springs before? Was it too low for the tire/wheel fitment?

Jefferson Zhang I am happy with the Pro-kit springs. I’m adding sway bars next. The sportlines you’re speaking of were on my civic sport hatch. No sportlines available for the Type R.

How much did you lower this by?

Is the Eibach sport line spring a more aggressive drop than the pro kit? Car looks great!

Typically yes. But Eibach did not develop a Sport Line kit for the Type R. Thanks, I'm happy with the slight drop.

Greezy_Chef that car has less torque than the type r with 30 more hp. But hondas drivetrain is good so whp is probably really close while the type r will have more torque... so no it wont

Also I don't know why but on the 2018 Type-R the LED headlamps is pretty much white when u look at it on the ground also they took away the option to enable developer mode, I should've got a 2017 but I got mines fresh off the truck when it pulled into the Honda dealership lol... If u can send me a link to the headlamps overlays and if u have time can u make a short video on how the headlights look with the overlays or u take them off at night?

They have been tinted with an overaly from Raw Vinyl Works. They sell precut film for headlights and tail lights.

Bad ass car but they don’t sound like too much

I still think dc2 and ek9 are the best.

I’ve come to the conclusion it’s near impossible to make this engine sound good! Go have a word with yourself anyone who has liked this - go listen to say an Audi RS3 now that sounds good!!!

I worked for Ford Powertrain NVH SQ. It will be difficult but not impossible to get a Turbo car to sound "good". They'll never sound as glorious as a Naturally Aspirated car and removing the resonator is not the best way to go. Look to improve the INTERIOR sound. Reducing the volume of the Air Induction Resonators is where I suggest everyone start.

Honda added that third piping as a resonator that opens up at high RPMs to reduce exhaust noise. Hopefully they add an option to keep the valves closed on the resonator at the push of a button or something. That being said, at least it's not fake exhaust notes like the Focus RS lol

Ktuner eventuri cold air intake puts it at 370 smokes The RS. i drove one and they are very uncomfortable . the civic is very sweet

It's very controversial among car enthusiasts. Especially fake vents found on the bumpers of the car. But then Subaru's new model just did the same with their front bumper. I don't know what to think about the movement manufacturers are aiming toward. Hoping to more functional aero in the future.

jonnys_honda Performance is excellent no question there. Only thing I complain about is the exterior styling and some of the design choices for the interior. I think it's a great car but I can't help but wonder who approved the final design... SMH. I just subscribed because I love Honda's. 👍
