Millionaire's Shop Tour // Mike Dubno

Ойын-сауық

Me, Bill Livolsi, Jimmy Diresta, Daniel Switch and Lever, Laura Kampf and April Wilkerson went to have dinner at Mike Dubno house in Manhattan. One minute from Central Park where he has this awesome shop in his basement with all you can think of.
This visit has been really inspiring for me and since I had a camera I decided to release this experience to all of you.
I hope this will be inspiring you too... :)
Have a great one.

Interesting get together. I love how the stories arise as you journey through. Our shops have so many tales to tell. I met Mike when we were at Maker Faire NY . and he is a genuine fella.

Yeah, it was a calendar. I want to say it could predict a huge number of solar and celestial events... Eclipses, moon phases, comets, etc. I saw it for the planetary gear setup that it had. It was pretty amazing to think it was developed a couple thousand years ago.

Yeah it'll take longer to get ALL of the stuff he has, and you'll have less time to work on concepts or other cool projects, but that doesn't mean it's unattainable. Some people are makers and spend their money making things or acquiring the tools to make things, some people are consumers and spend their money on things that have already been made, and other people are parents and spend their money on kids. A lucky few get to be all three, or even two.

Mike is a very interesting person, cool projects. I was fortunate to visit his shop in the summer of 2016 and that light thing was an interesting concept he already had working. We had a common interest, Arduinos. Very nice shop, a bit tight in space, but very well organized. If you point to anything in that shop, Mike will tell you a story about it, its as if every little ounce within his shop is part of his heart and soul. A very nice person to know indeed. His dad was my patent attorney in 1998-2000.
