milling some Delrin (POM) endcaps | Hermle C400 | HAAS VF2SS | SolidCAM
Just Machining - 10
In this episode of "just machining" I machine an end cap for an aluminum profile.
The material is a yellow delrin / POM plate. A quite fun material to make chips out of.
The CAM part has been done with SolidCAM 2021 SP3

It's always great to see a new video from you. Having the cutting parameters visible during the whole cut is excellent. Also the sound is great!

I really enjoy seeing the Imperial listing of parameters in this video :) . Good chips :D

You are alive! 😃 Great to see you back posting longer videos. I love info bar! That's the thing that most videos on YT miss. How did you managed to capture data of spindle load and RPM live? Ho is it done? However I have one suggestion about it. It gets quite confusing at first with dots and commas. I took me a while to realize that it's not 2m/s Vc on facemilling 😅 I'd give up dots on thousands and leve just commas. It may also be hard to find a difference on smaller screens.

Thank you :) The infbar is capurted with a VNC connection. I agree with phones and small screens. Mhh I will have to think about that problem.
thank you for another great video, that end mill is impressive

I am not a CAM guy, but I really lied the idea of having a saw make a huge undercut to remove the part easily with a simple rotation! Great job.

Da lernt man auch was beim zusehen.

Nice video. I like the filmed rpm and feed edited in. Is that the fz you'd use with the slitting saw in aluminium?

@BavariaCNC

Hi, I think in Pro Tools its more the complete package you have to look at the "just" see the endmill. So for me the service, the application engineer and the delivery of hoffmann counts as much as the tool performance. and at least for me this is a perfect match for my company and my work.

i do not like it , you could just try the fit before you part it off. and iam think what machine you have, you could do more challenge cut pass than this kindergarden machining, anyway i like how you try to use your knowlege to make it more reasonable for others. But for experienced owners of machine shops this is just waste of time. yes sorry i forgot you could debur it in machine it can took like 20 sec max. to debur everything before parting of. Have a nice day.
Awesome
