Milling of Wheat
This video will discuss the milling of wheat. The basic composition and nutritional significance of wheat will be discussed. The varieties of wheat will also be discussed in brief. We will also understand the difference between refined wheat flour and whole wheat flour. Both the traditional milling and modern milling will be discussed, all the milling steps will be discussed in detail. This video will also discuss the meaning of the term extraction rate and why the extraction rate of whole wheat flour is more than refined wheat flour. And at the end of the video the lady finally takes a breath 😊. I actually learned a lot from this, very good job! I’m using a Mockmill stone mill to grind my flour and a filter to separate the fine particles and the middling particles. I don’t have as much control but no oxidizers are used and the flour is fresh without any chemicals.

Very concise and time efficient. This video answered all my questions on the milling process. Thank you. The only question is what are some of the acceptable tolerances in various grades. Especially at the bran separation in finished white flour.
