The Miller ad came out in March for "Women's History Month", a month before Mulvaney fiasco. No one noticed. I think it's more mind boggling than offensive. It's obviously trying to persuade women to drink their beer. They do it by addressing us as men-hating, bitter people who don't know history. (Women were "among" the first??!?! Actually, I'm embracing capitalism. When a company is in the business to sell a product, they usually try to "win over" the majority of the population to become loyal customers. The company NORMALLY tries to do logical things to make their loyal customers happy. Of course, the company should really know WHO their loyal customers are and tailor their actions to keep that customer base happy. That is all part of a capitalistic system, but the AB company decided to go a different route KNOWING FULL WELL it would alienate the vast majority of their customer base. And... as part of a capitalistic system, the customer base showed their displeasure by spending their money elsewhere. The AB company decided being woke was more important than having money, so maybe they will be happier in the long run with less money. Who knows??? "Cancel culture" had nothing to do with it CUSTOMERS had everything to do with it.

Firstly, that commercial came out well before the Bud Light fiasco. But that being said, it's also revisionist history lies. Women have long been involved in running brewhouses and taverns, but that is because the men were busy tending to the fields where the hops and wheat is actually grown. Among other things. So women were NOT the first to brew beer. Just that they had a long history of being more directly involved in the process compared with alot of other industries which were frequently more separated when it came to gender. Heck there were times in certain parts of Europe and Britain that male monks were given an exclusive license to brew beer, which helped them raise money and win the favor of their communities but also led to black market breweries. But it usually didn't last very long.

When women drink beer at the bar are they wearing g-strings? No, didn't think so. It seems women just wear regular clothes when they drink beer. How weird.

I absolutely did not take this add seriously for a moment and if this went over the tops of everyone's heads here, you are all as dense as they come. This is the company poking fun at the whole woke thing without coming out and directly saying it. Everything in the ad is absurd to the point ("we are finding all our old bikini posters and making compost to brew woke beer"), does anyone believe that, how blind are you? I use a lot of sarcasm in my humor and there are always a tremendous number of people who do not get it. I have read the first 40 comments on here and really, nobody sees the humorous sarcasm in this ad? It is funny that no one ever used to take a beer ad seriously, but now they make a sarcastic joke and the people who should get that they are not the target are all trippin head over heels to say they are insulted.

Buckle up, because this is the result of woke colleges producing graduates with woke mentality that take that woke mentality into their career. No industry seems to be immune. We've seen it with teachers in schools, even in Victoria's Secret and further into the makeup industry when they had 2 men representing women on Women's Day last year. It's just further proof of a woke generation going out into the world thinking that people think as they do... and reality says differently. After what Anheuser-Busch did, the only thing all other beer companies had to do was…nothing. They didn’t even need to run any ads, as AB has elevated the sales of everyone else’s brands.

This advertising decision is stupid. Women in bikinis in a commercial is fine. It’s not like they are putting pictures on the side of each beer can or something. Miller is gonna hurt badly financially for this! 👎

Just no. The current fad is to bathe in beer, not brew beer in bathtubs, that is just ridiculous. Not only for hygiene but the hermetic reasons. A five gal starter kit including the beer kit costs well under $100, a five gal plastic brewing bucket are about $15, the beer mash kit anywhere from $20-40, I brew 12 gal at a time, I have eight 12 gal, seven 5 gal carbouys and one 30 gall brewing drum. Basic brewing equipment and beer mash/wine kits are cheap, easy and millions of people like myself enjoy the hobby. Nobody in their right mind would brew anything in a disgusting bathtub.

DAMN...I stopped drinking Shocktop because of ABusch...Miller/Coors took out my current option Bluemoon....I found a great local and independent brewery that Ill be buying my beer from now on.....Actually glad these clowns did these things...shouldnt have been buying from these big conglomerates anyways...THANKS!

The police department put sanctions on me and they must be fired immediately.

Someone high up in Miller bought Puts against the Stock and ok'd this ridiculous stuff to crash the stock and make mad loot for themselves. On top of that they will scoop up the stock at it's lowest point and then rebuild the brand.

I guess the folks at Miller were thinking, "Hey, we're getting way too many sales of former Coors Lite drinkers. Let's put an end to that." This defies explanation. One can imagine that the top management at Coors were taken by surprise by the backlash to their campaign, but there's no way that's possible here.

It's ALL about the ESG score. ESG stands for "Environmental, Social, and Governance", an ESG score is used to screen investments based on corporate policies and to encourage companies to act responsibly. If a company has a low ESG score because it pollutes rivers, that company can raise it's ESG score by adding LGBT people to its board and training their workers on Critical Race Theory, this is how a company which pollutes rivers can raise their ESG score and carry on polluting local rivers.

I've smoked plenty. I still don't understand why you'd venerate men who dress up like feminine women, but not actual feminine women.

I guess Miller lite didn't see what happened to Bud light they keep messing around and guess what they're not going to have any customers either

I LIKE beer. I will drink NO MORE BEER from such companies and neither will my friends (I have many). I also will NOT do business with ANY woke company unless it is for a service I can not do without (like a phone, lights, etc) and WILL look for alternatives even for these services.

Beer Lao was my go to until the local Asian market in my city in the PNW stopped stocking it, but they did the next best thing and started stocking Leo beer from Thailand.

my cousin’s tavern does not stock Michelob, Budweiser, Miller light, Labatt beer anymore. going, Political, or out on a limb with lost causes, is costly. Ask Anheuser Busch, how many billion dollars they have lost so far. As of the end of July 2023, Anheuser Busch announced they are laying off hundreds of corporate personnel, because of the catastrophic losses.. I feel for those people that are going to lose their jobs and then have already lost their jobs. Why did they not just get rid of the people that made the decision to go Political or trendy?

Now I know where the Sears executives went.

For lite and low carb, it looks like Yuengling "Flight" is the right choice. (4.2% ABV, 95 Cal, 2.6 Carbs) Yuengling is the non woke choice for beer. Many of the alternative brands they mentioned are actually own by Anheuser-Busch or Molson Coors. Looks like Yuengling is Americas beer!

I don't drink much at all, but if I were a big drinker, I'd actually buy a whole case of Miller Lite as my monetary show of support of this ad. The 20th Century's over. Get over it. This century doesn't believe in the last one's definitions of "acceptable" and "unacceptable" this and that. 20th Century traditional values and ways of doing things have been examined, and found very much falling short of sensibility.

In Usbekiztan we wouldn't support the beer company buying and then destroying the product just to make a yt video. Then you are just supporting the beer company with your money WITHOUT getting to drink it. We would bring a screwdriver, nail or something and do a BLM crowding and put holes in all the beer cans WITHIN the shop. That way it would becom a double cost to the shop and they would remove all cans and stop selling them. I'm not saying you should do it - just telling what would happen here.
