I’m amazed at how they managed to find two completely different artists with such similar voices! The similarity makes the difference between the Japanese and English version less jarring and more natural. Both artists have beautiful voices.

And anime that has Saori Hayami and Erika Harlacher as the same va has the same effect. For example they both voice Shinobu Kocho in Demon Slayer, of course in their respective languages though.

There honestly isn't a single bad song in this movie, this one is my favorite

Okay but whales were a great animal for Belle to have as sort of companions. Like, they're gentle, caring things like Suzu but their songs are so incredibly loud. And when Suzu becomes Belle, the whole world listens 🤩

There's a deeper layer to it too. Whales sing when they are lost or separated from their pod. And there is one recorded instance of a single whale without a pod that had been singing alone for the longest time

@@DanSilverhound Oooh yes! I just heard about this last year. It's called "The Loneliest Whale" and has a song that's sung at a higher frequency than other whales sing! Usually Whales sing at a level of 10 to 30 Hertz, but the Loneliest Whale has been singing at 50 Hertz since they heard it in the 90s. They can still hear it every year...

I literally only heard of this movie yesterday, but I WANT TO SEE IT SO BADLY BECAUSE OF THE MUSIC I SWEAR Edit: I came back from watching Belle, it was just as good as I hoped it would be! The voice work, animation and story were all spectacular, and the soundtrack may be the best one I've ever heard for an animated movie!! Please go watch Belle, you will not be disappointed!

I watched the English dub on Saturday & I love this movie Even this opening song (and the visuals etc) made me want it on dvd (I never buy DVDs anymore… who really does y’know?!) But I know what you mean about loving both the English & Japanese Like my favourite anime is Your Name (I only watch the dub however I watch with the Japanese songs & I have the English songs on my phone) My point being is that if you can’t decide then clearly it means you probably love this movie/ the songs

@@dafaqu694 because it's literally impossible to read and look at moving pictures at the same exact time. You have to look at one or the other. If you can do both at the same time, I assume you can watch "The Tatami Galaxy" without needing to pause or rewind and still see every drawing.

My friend and I watched this movie about two or so months ago, but I had no idea that there was going to be a dub coming out until today. Kylie McNeill did such a good job as Belle, her voice is almost exactly identical to Kaho Nakamura's!

The English singer has never done any other big works or anything it’s pretty crazy that they found her

This is probably my favourite song ever. This will definitely be one of those songs that extends time, and a song that my great grandchildren will be listening to saying it's a classic song hahaha

Both the JP and ENG dub are just amazing. The studio did a great job picking someone to sing for the ENG dub.

Both Japanese and English versions have amazing vocals and the music production is phenomenal! It feels so festive!

If you had told me before I watched this that it was the same voice actor for sub and dub I would totally have believed you! They sound so similar!

The digital aspect just reminds me of Summer wars (same director)

There's interesting minuet changes to the English version. During the build up, alot of the instrumentation got removed. The bass was more subtle, and the main rhythmic section was replaced with the droplet sound that we are all familiar with in pop music. The song is the same, but it's interesting small changes.

this movie is a visual and a musical masterpiece. rest in peace disney 2D animation. Japanese animation industry will keep the 2d animation alive.

AMAZING!!! No matter what language it is, it's just great! And it's just like an echo to the "U" world: the words or sentences will be translated into the language you understand. When I listened to the Japanese version, I saw the lyrics translation, that time, I've already been surprised. Now, here's an English version, which I don't have to see the translation, surprised me again! All the songs in English version just made me recall when my classmate and I watched this movie 2~3 months ago! Masterpiece!

I normally dont prefer dub anime or anime songs, but this one was actually amazing, what a breathtaking song!

I listened to the Japanese and English versions at the exact same time and it felt magical- This song is soooo good

Usually the dubbed versions aren't that good but in Belle, the dubbed version and the subbed version are both perfect. How they pulled that off is beyond me and so I praise the voice actors, the director and everyone else who worked on this movie because it's the embodiment of perfection! (edit: grammar mistake, I typed the word "movie" twice)

​@@Natasha_4 Yes it is, every animated movie is edited but the voice actors and music in Belle were especially good. Dub can be really weird at times when it comes to anime as the original animation was made for the Japanese version and a whole lot of the time the voice actors' voices don't suit the character but in Belle it was perfect in both dub and sub.

I...have to admit, as a sub purist and with all due respect to the original artist, I like this better than the JP version. Kylie McNeil did an incredible job.

Each and every song in this movie was beyond amazing. Some even made tear up. It's incredible how much emotion you could feel from these songs and some really did feel as they were speaking out to you.

Love this movie. Great vision of what a future meta verse could look like.
