LYRICS:
It's easy to push me away from you
Easy to say you want be left on your own
Yet somehow I can't help but see how your eyes shy away
Your hands seal the entrance and path to your heart
Anger kept fear and the sadness you feel
under the surface for so long
Locked that room, you keep it inside
Lend me your voice
Words you try so hard to forget, they'll break through the silence
Bring me close
Let me see the past you regret deep down below
Show it all
La-la~
It's not so hard living all by yourself
It isn't hard, yes I know that's what you'll say
It's what you have told yourself over and
over again in darkness
You try to hold back all the thoughts
But you know,I just want you as you are
Just the you that I see right before me
It's all that has been on my mind
Lend me your voice
Let me see your face let me start to show you what I see
Bring me close
Let me feel the beat of your heart, the secret you bury
Lend me your voice!
Anything you want to say,I'll be right here, I'll listen so tell me
Open the door
Let me come and sit by the fire, just let me come close
to your heart
La-la~

@@SpiderkillersInc I don't think so, it's obvious how she likes Shinobu but yeah we can't confirm Shinobu feels the same. He could have liked her since the beginning but laid off because she's been traumatized. The relationship between Dragon and Suzu seems either one sided or warmly platonic to me. If she had loved Dragon she would have said it back, but it was less of a romantic journey between them and more of an "I see you're suffering, just like me. Don't keep it inside, let me in, let's deal with this together". Something like how people who are depressed or suffering from trauma are more likely to try and help others in a similar situation. I've said 'I love you' to my friends platonically, it could be that too. Or not. Just seems more likely to me. I just think in a realistic potrayal, you'd be too mentally exhausted and hurt for romantic commitment. He may have escaped his abuser physically, but PTSD is a bitch.

There are a few other elements I could see. Mainly her stumbling into the castle, staying for a day, then Beast scares her off, only to come to her rescue when she’s accosted by enemies (wolves in the Disney version, the Justice-League Wannabes in this version). But ya, its only a few elements. And honestly that’s for the best. This movie is great on its own even if you know nothing about the original fairy tale, the disney version, or any other version out there. Edit: Oh, you can also make the argument that Justin is meant to be a non-romantic stand in for Gaston, being the spitting image of a shonen hero in anime, but all the praise and adoration he’s given has given him an ego beyond belief and has a massive vendetta against the Beast for being a stain on his ‘perfect’ world.

This song along with "A Million Miles Away" is possibly my top 2 favorites within the whole soundtrack. This movie honestly is an iconic masterpiece. To me personally, it's a movie about self-discovery, mental health, and suppressed emotions, all the while finding empathy for others because you understand what they are going through. In the end, you finally realize your identity has been there all along, sometimes it takes seeing other people have similar experiences to help recognize yours. That's how I see it. 😊

This movie gives me lots of Disney Renaissance and Pixar-era Disney vibes when it comes to deeper themes and lessons. Today’s movies just don’t have that kind of spirit or care put into them. Couple that with the music being more melancholy and emotionally driven compared to today’s manufactured trite (if I have to hear a Let It Go reference ONE MORE TIME-!!!) and the fact that the songs were written in-story by Suzu, it really makes it more of a fantastic experience.

This song is so good. I have no emotional attachments to this movie scene but just listening to the song and the English lyrics makes me cry. The song by itself is just sooooo good.

Even though there wasn't any romance in this movie (which I was kind of disappointed by, but the age gap makes sense why there wasn't any romance, but still), this song still slaps.

Couldn't decide between seeing in English and just enjoying it or seeing it in IMAX but needing to read (doesn't help I need new glasses) So we went with English and did the crying thing, planning on going back and seeing in IMAX seeing as difficulty reading won't kill me the second time around.

I seriously can’t cope with how stunningly beautiful this is. I haven’t even watched the film, I just stumbled across this and I’m so grateful that I did. The fact that Belle did not get nominated an Oscar is a tragedy and outright criminal. I've seen the nominated animated movies (really? THAT many Disney movies?!), and this one is without a doubt the best of them all.

I watched this yesterday on my birthday. It was the first anime movie I watched in theaters. And it was worth every second and penny. I love animated films, but recently most American studios have different ideas on what good animation is supposed to be. I’m so glad I invested a moment of my life to this masterpiece. I’m definitely gonna watch more Japanese animated films on the big screen from now on.

I went and saw this the other day in theater. I hadn’t been to see a movie since 2019 so I was really excited. I was the only person in the room to boot. When this song started, I started bawling. It was almost overwhelming with the massive screen, beautiful artwork, and the music. It hits home for anyone who has been in love with someone who is afraid to be vulnerable and allow the love to grow. This soundtrack and movie needs to be nominated for multiple awards! I am so happy that this was my reintroduction to the theater experience 💜

Be Well and Marry.

I work in music and don't really listen to a ton of music outside of work anymore. I do still love music, but It's very difficult for me to feel emotional listening to a song because I always think about the songwriting, the production, etc. rather than just listening. I went and saw Belle in the worst theatre in my town, the left speaker wasn't working which as an audio professional probably shortened my life by like 10 years lol. But I felt the same connection to this song that I have felt only a handful of times in my life, and most definitely not in a very long time. I don't remember the last time I learned a song just because I liked it. Thanks to the composers, writers, and Kylie for making such a beautiful piece of art. It has impacted me in such a way that rekindled the embers of a love for music that has been burning out for some time.

Lend Me Your Voice (English) - Belle/Kylie McNeil Lyrics: It’s easy to push me away from you Easy to say you want to be left on your own Yet somehow I can’t help but see How your eyes shy away Your hands seal the entrance and path to your heart Anger kept fear and the sadness you feel Under the surface for so long Locked that room, you keep it inside Lend me your voice! Let me see your face Let me start To show you, what I see Bring me close! Let me feel the beat of your heart The secret you bury Lend me your voice! Anything you want to say, I’ll be right here I’ll listen, so tell me Open the door! Let me come and sit by the fire, just let me come close to your heart La la, la la…
