Wonderful coverage of this event PP! It is great to see so many of these WW2 generation vehicles in fully restored condition and running again. The cost and time invested by the enthusiasts’ to bring these veteran vehicles back to life must be enormous. I would love to see them up close in person, but alas, it will probably never happen now. This was a very impressive display of restored German military vehicles. Seeing the wide variety of tracked vehicles and trucks and scout cars in one place, it seemed like every military vehicle, aside from the Panther, Tiger and a few other tanks, that was in the German WW2 inventory was on display. I wish I could have been there to ride around in some of the big armored halftracks or even watched those RC miniature tanks being put through their paces.

Sadly German stuff has the habit of breaking down, so the Nashorn was already kaput before I could see it move and the other tanks only drive a few times.

Was there saturday best day of my life shame I didn't got to see the nashorn

The biggest half tracks are absolute beasts! It's so cool to see them running (sorry I can't remember their proper name but it wasn't something catchy like tiger or panther lol) Why are all the drivers wearing blue tshirts now, have they discouraged period uniforms, or is it just considered uncool these days?

The bigger half-tracks are called Sd.Kfz 7 and 8 Famo. And they can't were uniforms because its not a reenactment and it's about the vehicles, also if they wear German uniforms it will only bring in the grazies calling everything rascisme.

Why dont the crews dress up in period uniforms?seems like such a waste seeing that the blue T-Shirts look to me so out of place.

It's not a reenactment and when they do allow it, it will only give the grazies a reason to demonstrated rascisme.
