🦅 A Heartwarming Reunion at NHCS 🇺🇸
Today, our school was the backdrop for an unforgettable moment as we witnessed a surprise reunion.
National Guard Second Lieutenant James Mead, a proud son of former NHCS teacher Robert Mead, made a special visit to surprise his daughter in her classroom. Having just graduated from Officer Candidate School at Fort McClellan, AL, where he spent the last three months, Lt. Mead’s return was a reminder of the sacrifices our service members and their families make.
Lt. Mead will be joining the 112th Financial Management Support Detachment in Siler City, under the 113th Sustainment Brigade in Greensboro, serving our nation with dedication and honor. Meanwhile, his wife, Rachel Mead, a Petty Officer Second Class, continues her service as a Navy recruiter in Concord and is currently at Navy Recruiting Command in Pensacola, FL.
This family’s commitment to our country is inspiring. Today’s reunion was not just a touching moment for their family, but a proud occasion for our entire school community. We are reminded of the importance of support, love, and the sacrifices made by military families every day.
