She was definitely made for the entertainment industry. A lot of kids would have cracked under the pressure of HM but she just kept on going and going. Completely shed the Disney image and is making art the way she wants to. Boss

She is so articulate and intelligent. I remember how hard the world was on her when she was going through her “phase” and tearing her down and calling her all sorts of names. This girl was never dumb, she was/is self aware af. Nothing she did was soo different from what other teenage girls do but she just got all this shit for it because of her former Hannah Montana image. its an amazing thing to be self reliant and self assured. everyone wishes they could snuggle up to someone like family when the world is beating them down, but somehow you have to figure out how to be your own safety. thats a great thing, maybe its not always what you need emotionally, but you always can trust yourself. you know youll be ok, and thats a good thing.

I have kinda the same thing even tho my parents did a good job but I moved out a bit too early for me and a lot of things happened. It was one time funny now already years ago I was with my then girlfriend and sat on a bus and I had like 4 bags because we were getting clothes and when I left the bus, I immidiatelly was like goddamned I left my bag on the floor and the bus was quite full so these noticebly high people went to sit on that place so I knew it was goners. There was just my keys and wallet what was the problem. Well I just started like it would be everyday thing with cancelling my card, calling the person who I kept my spare-key (planning a lie scenario where the key got like in lake so the rent place wouldn't renew the locks which costs a lot), saying how I gotta go inform cops about my drivers license and order new one, go to bank to get cash etc. So anyway I was just going thru that and my gf asks how am I so calm and that she would be panicking hard and not know what to do. I just said yeeaaah you don't panick anymore when you have lost important items usually black out drunk and have to handle the same bs when hungover already multiple times. Depending on a situation I might get pissed off but not really panick anymore about anything, it would need to be something quite huge to get that reaction.

I was a huuuge fan of Hannah Montana (like HM themed bedroom & multiple HM birthday parties in my youth) and growing up with Miley - She’s had to learn and make mistakes in the spotlight & yet she’s prevailed. I’ve seen her in person & she’s an amazing singer, performer, and artist. I do feel bad for her siblings though; it cannot be easy to have a huge star for a sister & constantly be thrown into the spotlight because of it.

I really relate to the drinking thing. People I knew in college always seem surprised when we hang out now, and I very rarely drink. Not because I was a lush in college or anything, but I would definitely normally have a drink or two in social situations/parties like most people did. But I think I mostly did it because drinking was the norm, and just kind of expected. Now that I'm older and care less about social expectations, I've realized that drinking just doesn't make me feel good. Even just one drink tends to interrupt my sleep and make me feel extra groggy in the morning. Now I might have two or three drinks in a month, and it's perfect for me. Let's stop normalizing the "big glass of wine every night after work" culture and maybe admit to ourselves that most of the time, alcohol makes it so that you aren't operating at "110%" like Miley said.

My guess as to why Rogan doesn't have vocal chord issues is, it's not just how much you talk...but HOW you talk. The "vocal fry" voice that so many young people have (think the Kardashian voice) probably wreaks havoc on your voice. There's a reason why serious heavy metal vocalists get lessons on how to scream/growl properly so they don't blow out their voice (like Hetfield and others did).
