Miley will always put her own spin and interpretation on Covers. This is no different and the added verse she wrote elevates the song further imo! Sometimes her vision and concepts are way ahead of her time! Not many people get it or understand it until much later. Personally I like it and the vibe. One can rock out to this in clubs! Miley is quite the experimenal and innovative artist not afraid to dabble and take chances!

That’s totally fair, and honestly I don’t expect everyone to vibe to it. I’m glad I enjoy it as I unfortunately am not a fan of David Byrnes voice but this version makes me appreciate the original a bit more, I didn’t think I could like it till Miley’s cover.

I’m sorry, but this was horrible. It had nothing of the alienated, ominous weirdness of the original, but (at least for me) didn’t illuminate any other aspect of the song either. It was basically Grade B Lady Gaga.
