I’m not really sure what his story is, but I’m guessing there’s a whole lot of abuse that happened. He probably didn’t “forgive” as much as he chose to focus on building himself more than dwelling on past trauma. I don’t know if it’s possible to forgive evil people who still do evil things.

His father was soooo horrible. He wouldn’t let McCauley have time off to just be a boy. He wanted that money!! Social Services should have stepped in to protect him. How many child stars were over worked bc they had horrible money grubbing parents whip ignored them except to get them in front of a camera.

Kinda sounds like these “influencer families” that put their kids in every video, day in and day out, not worried about their consent or age or the fact that like 95% of their loyal viewers are creeps and pedos. Hopefully laws are put into place to stop these money hungry ppl.

Judy Garlands parents were the exact same way, they dragged their daughters around on tour to perform, Judy ended up getting the almost attention from the audience so she was exploited more than her sisters, eventually she made it to Hollywood

Since they're not too much in the spotlight, I seem to forget they are together. Then every time I see a photo of them together I remember and it makes me happy.

Same. We're all people, we're all the same. He had it bad in his own way, being in the public eye being so young. Glad to know he's got his life together, it's always good news to know someone made it back from a dark place.

I met Mila in Hawaii when she was going out with him, she bought me and my military buddies drinks and used us as a buffer because her Co star in forgetting Sarah Marshall kept hitting on her but it was awesome and she's a peach

I saw her actually talk about this just like a week or two ago in a interview, she said she bought one of the military guys a few drinks cause he was under 21, she said if he's old enough to fight for our country he should be old enough to have a drink. I guess the hotel staff got really mad at her.😂 Wow such a small world that I just read your comment.

He used to date Mila Kunis for quite a long while, it's also a good while ago.

I love Macaulay, he's been through soooo much, so seeing him healthy and happy with Brenda and their baby just makes me happy 💓💞

I'm so glad his life's in a better place than it was and that he's happy. It always feels so unfair that the people who made alot of our childhoods great with the movies they were in didn't have good childhoods themselves

As painful as it can sound, forgiveness makes you so much happier in the end ❤

A lot of the time forgiveness isn't about the other person, but yourself. Some people may not care if you forgive them or not, it's for your own happiness, not theirs. I'm one of those people who forgives but doesn't forget lol

I know Brenda. She's soooooo so sweet. I worked with her. They're married and have a baby now. She's the reason he's okay 👍🏾 her love saved him. He was very depressed and lonesome. Shes AWESOME. Such s good person and exactly what he needed

All it takes is a simple google search to see that was the time when he was doing the role for that movie where he was a meth addict murderer drag queen. I can't think of the name right now maybe "party monster" I think but that's what that was okay gosh

He went through the dark night of the soul and came out the other end healthy and strong. So happy for him.💗

Yes. You have to grieve the relationship you can’t have. We all want a relationship with our parents, so to have absent/abusive parents hurts us on a fundamental level. We have to grieve that loss before we can move on. We have to grieve why our parents chose other things over us, and learn to validate ourselves instead of waiting for their validation. I haven’t talked to my father in almost 2 years. He hasn’t seen my son since he was a newborn. I’m pregnant again, and he won’t even meet this baby. My father has diagnosed Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Diagnosed over a decade ago. I didn’t realize that it meant until doctors online, and other children of narcissists, started talking about it.

I can't tell you how HAPPY I am that Macaulay is happy, healthy and together again! It it pure joy!

He has truly matured and achieved self awareness.

I remember back when he and Mila Kunis were together... I feel like when they broke up was around the time pictures started coming out showing him not looking too healthy. I was so happy to see when he turned himself back around- he really does seem like a good person :)

I can’t imagine the type of pressure he must have been under to financially support his parents and siblings at the age of eight. I am immensely proud of him. He deserves his happy ending.💜
