Mikhail Tal Smashes the Sicilian | 1965 Candidates Semifinal vs Bent Larsen
In this video I analyze Tal vs Larsen from their 1965 Candidates Semifinal Match. This was the crucial last game of the match, and Tal went all in to try to win the game. A typical Sicilian position with opposite side castling quickly arose. Tal sacrificed a piece for a blistering attack. Could Larsen hold off his fierce attacking opponent?

Great vid 👏🏼👌🏻
You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest and then ask " does this smell like chloroform??"

Exactly! 16. Nd5 might not have been the first choice of the engine, but it forced Larsen to make a series of unpleasant decisions, and he immediately erred with 17...f5 and 18...Rf7
Dope game. h3 😍
