Look at the immediate outline of the 'attacker', he telegraphs his intention of where he is going to strike seconds before he even thinks it. It looks goofy because Mikhail is likely looking at the edge/outline of his 'attacker'. Its far easier to sense intent by staring at an opponents edges/outline hazy aura than it is to predict or react to their actual strike. The intent to strike occurs before the thought to strike. If you are able to sense intent you can read someones movements faster than they can think. It would seem to your opponent that they were fighting themself in the mirror. The fat man is watching his opponents intent which can only be seen (afaik) by looking at the 'edges of an opponent', aka the outline of the opponents body. Look at any human on earth, we all have a very small(like 1-3mm) hazy transparent looking aura that surrounds our body parts. When someone intends to attack/punch, their hazy almost transparent aura will flare up tremendously, moving out to lengths of 5-100mm or more. It is extremely obvious to anyone that actively looks for it. Intent is far faster than thought. This is why the fat man seems like he's got a crew of actors trying to fight him, he is moving according to his opponents intent, not their actual attacks. Look into any ancient legendary warrior, they will all explain this concept like I just did or they will allude to it.
