Great review! Totally agree on minimum 2 ft range with some push to start moving the Twin Pin. Haven’t had a chance to surf it in bigger waves yet. I think if you went with bigger size, you would beat most flat sections. However the board does slow down no matter what in fat sections 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hey Skipper, thanks for your feedback. I definitely wouldn't change the size, it was perfect as the waves got better.

Sick review bro love your content! This is a board I struggle with, and I find myself always grabbing my seaside when it’s small and my inferno 72 when it’s more punchy. So the twin pin ends up not getting surfed (it also has a weak glass job so tons of pressure dings from a few small sessions). It definitely handles steeper drops better than the seaside but I find it lacking the drive in small conditions. I’m considering selling it, how do you see it fit in your quiver? 🤙🤙

Hey Mark, thanks for your feedback and support for the channel, stoked to hear you are enjoying it. I agree, I always go for the seaside when it is small, and lately have been going to small wave performance boards next, and then a standard shortboard...I would grab the twin pin on the same days and conditions when I would surf my shortboard, the good days. 3ft+ longer, point type waves and punchy. From my experience so far this board feels unreal in these conditions. You just can't experience its full potential when the waves are 2ft mush. I would stick with it and persist...Once you get it into good waves, the speed, drive and flow provide a pretty awesome experience!

Nice review! For an over head day on a beachbreak would you choose the fever or the twin pin?

I think it depends if you like twinnies or thrusters...but I am currently enjoying thrusters more, so the fever.

There was not enough volume, especially forward of centre in that short a board to be able to float across flatter sections. The claim that it works from 2 to 10ft is very suspect. Good surfing though, glad you enjoyed it. #wallarahsurfboards

I agree, not enough volume in a 5' 7" only 27.9 litres. It looked like he was struggling to push it through turns a lot and needed more volume to help on flat sections. he could have also tested the 5' 9" or 5' 11" to better gauge the performance.
