Whats your height and weight please mate ? Just juggling size choices at the moment
Dogs naturally have great balance !! They are four wheel drives . My dog practically taught me to surf waves with him !
Check out the h2
How about the black bean looks similar. But kinda diamond tail
Finally someone doing real reviews on the aloha boards instead of 1 minute clips in good waves.try them all.
wow very useful
I've seen milion people snaking in my life.... i think is difficult to point it out... many guys do it and don't understand it is not nice... however sometimes it is hard to tell who's making the mistake like the caise of the 2 guys on the converging wave...
what about a mini simmons?
I want to change because its a hanlin getting my foam board into the car 😅
I d love to see tou riding the Jr disco bikky
BRO... you nailed every aspect of the Fish perfectly. Age 75, been surfing Florida waves since age 11 in 1961. Fish is my choice 90% of the time.
I've got the Aloha (Lopez) H-2 5'8 rounded squash Epoxy. I've also got the Aloha CFD Sequoia Twin Fish 5'5 Epoxy & find that they both perform well. Check' em out!!! Ya might like' em. Cheers 🤙
Just wanted to know is surfing fun because don't want to buy a board and not like surfing cause I'm interested in trying surfing what are your thoughts?
Hi
Looks fun!
Hi wanted to know is surfing fun because as someone who is interested in surfing don't want buy board but not like it what are your thoughts?
Love mine mate! 🔥
💥
how easy is it to move rail to rail with this wide tail?
Gpod video
Which do you prefer the Red Tiger or Happy Every Day?
I haven't surfed the HE, but I have surfed the fever and ci2.pro. I like the red tiger more as an all rounder, because it felt more forgiving and smooth, but very high performance still. The Ci 2.Pro would be more choice if it was bigger and pumping
@@TheSurfersJourney thanks for the advice. Yes everyone is giving the red tiger good reviews.
I like your board were did you get it from ❤
Online from Mick Fanning Softboards
You are not going to fool anyone here, dogs are great surfers! 😂
I always love having a foamie in the quiver, but bugger me they've gotten WAY too expensive.
Where in aus?
Does anyone remember the Aquatoy board from the early eighties ? Was sort of brittle polystyrene but had a metal stringer thru the board and fins . Chick surfer here that got scared of some of the heavier glass boards and had all ball on those boards - they broke pretty quickly and weren’t cheap but what fun !
I watched you back when you and kale joined forces
Dogs 🐕 rock (particularly Golden Retrievers). I sometimes wonder if those who first put forward the notion of a god were dyslexic (???)
😂
Having a mid strength from Chilli and enjoying small days from about 0.6m to 1m!
Yummy yellow. Oh dear. I have 2 in blue and white, great boards.
Nice choice!
🤩
Trying to learn these maneuvers at the moment. I'm finding I really struggle maintaining speed throughout the entire turn and I end up losing it halfway through... any ideas as to why this could be happening?
Hi Matt, I do online video analysis, there are many reasons so it is impossible to say without seeing. thesurfersjourney.com.au/coaching-and-surfing-lessons/
I learned so many new things from your video. Thank you for making it. Legend.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
thanks for this video. very helpful.
You're welcome!
Ive ridden pretty much the same boards as you over the past few years, seaside, go fish, glazer plus too fish. I dont know what it is about firewires but they're just not working for me anymore so im going back to lost shapes. I've had a custom rad ripper made as didn't want to ride a stock long thin version. Mine is 5'4 x 19 3/4 x 2 3/8 in lightspeed. I honestly cant wait till it turns up next week. Going to be my summer board here in the UK. I hope it paddles just as well as some of those wider/shorter firewires. Be interested to know if you prefer it as a thruster or quad.
I have only surfed it as a thruster, and I love it, so I won't be trying it as a quad. Great choice mate, after a small adjustment period I couldn't get off of it!
How many litres is the one you’re riding?
I think 85ish, it is a stock 8'0
Thanks
Hey Ryan, I've been thinking of grabbing one of these for a while now and think I'm going to pull the trigger on one for my birthday later this year. I like that you've compared it to the seaside in this clip as thats one of my current (and favourite) boards, recently picking up my 2nd dropping from a 6'0 down to a 5'6 and absolutely loving the boost in performance dropping down has given me. I've been tossing up which size plasmic to order as the 5'4 comes in bang on the seasides litres or the 5'5 with that little extra float. As someone who's ridden both would it be worth going up that extra litre or just sticking with my current volume? I'll most likely be opting for a PU as some of those resin tints look amazing. Keep the clips coming.
Thanks for sharing that mate, stoked that you like the Seaside and the volume drop has helped! I think go the 5'5, I had the 5'2 and it sat around 30.5L, which was 4L more than the Seaside. I definitely could have gone the 5'0, but it still would have had more volume than the Seaside which is a good thing I think. Does that help? Good luck, it is a sick board. Use uprights also 👍
@@TheSurfersJourney Thanks mate, it definitely helps. I had a look at one in a local shop at Phillip Island and was told the shapers Asher Pacey fins were a pretty good combo with the board. I rode my 6'0 seaside with a set of MRs earlier in the year and ever since I've been looking at getting a twinny. Down sizing my quiver has just been opportunistic recently took a chance on an ex demo 5'6 glazer, which I also had in 6'0 though when I bought them I was over 20kgs heavier so recently the bigger boards started to feel boaty. First sessions both new boards clicked instantly. I'm glad I did because I was initially looking at the plasmic in a larger size, and considering the price point I really wanted to get it right. I'll let you know how I go.
@brentontaylor9191 please do, good luck, it is a very fun board!
Thanks for the review! I’m looking at picking up a Dark Arts Pyzel Red Tiger XL this helped me decide to pick one up. 🤙🏽
Go Gemma!!
:D
She’s stoked! 🏄♀️ 👍
We both were :)
What length is this board? Is 7'6 too short to start on? Great review.
It depends on your height, but no, I get most of my clients on 8'0, but a 7'6 would be fine too. How tall are you and how much do you weigh?
Same question. I’m 5’11” and 179-181 pounds depending on the day.
need more foam content! would like to see you compare the mf with the catch surf log of similar length
New video on the MF little marley dropped today!
wot weight can the board take ?
Hi Tony, I am looking forward to our surf lesson in the next few weeks! 100+kgs on this one I would say
@@TheSurfersJourney Ouch !
wot bout the over 60s ? been thinking bout bak into it, long time off dealing with life !
💥
Seeing you on a foamie is super weird. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the MF boards from other surfers.
I have an idea for you! Chat soon Em :D
Lol are you paying for my surfboard? What about groceries, internet, and all the stuff? You payin my rent? Lol. Unless ur some dude working 4hours a day home office or something ur prolly spoiled. The amount of “soul free” surfers who are just actually spoiled brats leeching off their parents is monumental lol
I jumped on it again today after some months away, it really is a insane board. You have nailed this, faultless IMO...Dark arts version next
Thanks guys! This was good feedback for myself to see/hear!
You're welcome! Thanks for getting in touch 🙌
Hi, what size fish should I get . Should it be a couple inches short than me or around my height?
Subscribed 😇 🏄♀️
Go Soulty Boho!
