Keon Hicks I unfortunately can’t bring myself to watch the lions for the rest of this season after that bungle show but Mike 100% makes it hurt a lot less. Wins after 33 weeks with the Lions: Matt Patricia: 9 1/2 Steve Mariucci: 12 Rod Marinelli: 10 Patricia has a top-10 veteran Quarterback at his disposal, those other two didn't, and he still, STILL doesn't have as many wins as they did by this point. Imagine if Matt Patricia DIDN'T have Matthew Stafford. We caught a glimpse of it last year: zero wins. Matt Patricia was won ZERO TIMES without Matthew Stafford. Matt Patricia is Marty Mornhinweg with a decent Quarterback.

If a player like Stafford can put up numbers with damn near nothing around him, an absolute joke of an offensive line year after year, but has still put up MVP numbers. Lions fans don't seem to understand this team is NEVER as talented as they think. NEVER!!!! Not to mention garbage defense after garbage defense. The Lions and their fans don't deserve a QB like Stafford. The way this team is they deserve Gus Frerotte, they deserve Mike McMahon.

@@waidwml2166 Maybe Caldwell wasn't the coach that could take the team to a championship but he had a winning record, a rare thing with the Lions. Also, they were one bad call away from beating Dallas in the playoffs. Maybe Bob Quinn should have waited to find a better replacement coach if he didn't think Caldwell was the long term solution.

Your right. Jim Caldwell was developing a winning attitude , however Bob Quinn refused to help Jim by NOT spending money or making free agent / trades to help Stafford or Megatron with a good running back and o-line support, but he helps his buddy Patricia

@@thewizardofoz511 I strongly suspect Martha Ford wasn't behind the decision to fire Caldwell, it was all Bob Quinn. But she probably said she wouldn't overrule the GM because ultimately the GM should be making personnel decisions.

Caldwell was getting AT LEAST WINNING seasons for that franchise which has some of the worst in their franchise history. Caldwell is a true QB whisperer. He had that team on the right track. It is what it is. Patricias record is what it is.

Honestly, I'm just happy to get back to some sense of "normalcy" since the pandemic began. The Lions shi**ing the bed is as routine as it gets.

Jim Caldwell was 9-7 in his last season here and the rocket scientist is 9-23 in 2.1 years. Save face and fire the BUM NOW! 🤬

Caldwell did have some major issues as a coach, and living in Michigan, people were done with him for valid reasons. But yeah, Patricia is way worse and it’s embarrassing that he’s had as much slack and time in Detroit as he has.

Absolutely unbelievable what the leadership now has done in that short time frame. People tend to forget just how bad these times were. Quintricia was worse than any of the millen/mayhew rosters. 3.5 years later, Brad and Dan have built a juggernaut. Truly unbelievable

My wife and her whole family are from Michigan, so they're all Lions fans. My 95-y/o father-in-law said it perfectly: "The Lions will always find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory."

As a Lions fan for the last 30 years, Jim Caldwell was the best coach during this duration, by a long shot. Was he a perfect coach? No, but the players respected the man, they had winning seasons, made the playoffs. Fat Boy Bluto, or PaTRASHa must go.
