You're correct about him being able to fight, it wasn't because he was respected though it was because he was feared, big difference. he must've been ok he was Iron Mikes Sparring Partner. I'm embarrassed to say I can't remember any of his Fights or him. The only John Egan I know is the Sheffield Utd Player from few Seasons back. 🙏✌️

Well he admitted himself he wasn't a first class boxer. But what he did show in this interview at least is that he appears to be a first class human being.

He reminds me of a local hardman (who's family lived in my town and i use to be friends with his younger brother )who accidentally bumped into me in a pub and instantly apologised (in the 80s) ,.And went on to train world champions .Chris Sanigar ..Nothing beats Class as a human being .And it takes a real man that cries openly ❤🥊🥊

I’ve known Joe since we were in our early 20s when he lived in Newcastle and without a shadow of a doubt he is one of the nicest and respectful people you could ever meet, oh and he’d batter John fury aswel 🥊

Never heard of this gentlemen before , and don't follow boxing closely , but his humility and very evident compassionate disposition impress me mightily . An admiral human being . Qualities one doesn't often see in those involved in that combative culture .
