People are so damn cruel. Mike Tyson’s post fight interview in the ring was probably the most honest answer a fighter has ever given. Much love to Mike. May God be with you.

His career was already over before this fight he just did it for the pay day. Tyson from the 80s to the early 90s was a great fighter To say he wasn’t one of the greatest you just don’t know what the fuck your talking about.

This was actually an awesome fight. I watched it live way back then, but haven't seen it since. Mike was offensively effective, with those wicked shots the body. McBride was fouling Mike constantly so I say fair play when Mike returned the favor. McBride was huge, and did a good job of weathering some HARD shots, and giving back some great shots of his own. I hated seeing the stoppage, but it's understandable he was exhausted from throwing hard trying to KO the giant, and from being leaned on by 270lbs. Salute to both warriors and so much respect to Mike Tyson as a fighter and a human.

I just watched the fight but did not see any fouls from McBride. I did, however, see Mike throw at least two elbow/forearms, a few low blows and possible bite McBride on the arm. I also heard Mike admit to the intentional head butt that opened up the cut above McBride's eye. Mike was one of the great ones, but this fight was ugly.

Tyson was actually great in this fight. He clearly had a game plan and executed it. He wanted to be a bit more patient in the first 2 rounds and then he wanted to go for the win in Rounds 3 and 4. McBride was shaken but absorbed the best Tyson had to offer. The speed and intelligence were right on at times, but Mike just didnt have the power to put him down. Contrary to what Mike says at the end of the fight, I feel like he actually did give it his all and literally almost took himself out trying to do so.

That's absolutely not true. He had excellent technique in his younger years and mastered the peek a boo-style. When he was still disciplined he could go 12 rounds with the bigger guys. The thing is that Tyson his style and technique are very hard to master. It takes a lot of energy too. And his old training camp with Kevin Rooney always made sure Tyson was in great shape and were teaching mike the things like Cus D'Amato did it. In 1989 Kevin Rooney and mike's old manager got fired. Don King was taking everything over. That was when Tyson stopped being disciplined, training all day and using the right drills. He started partying, doing drugs and didn't really care anymore. But the worst part is that he stopped using the right technique and drills for the peek a boo-style like Cus D' Amato taught him. Less volume in punching, less combinations, less head movement and only looking for that one punch knockout. His last fight with his old team was against Michael Spinks. You can can see the changing in his boxing immediately in his next fight against Frank Bruno. And it was getting worse from there.

Mike Tyson really? A real life Fairy Tale ! And I aint saying it like a fairy, no no, it's a Tale. A Tale of a troubled and scared boy who had been abandoned and forgotten. And he would have been if it wasn't for a hard grumpy old Old Timer who had been forged from harder stuff. And that harder stuff is what he saw in this scared confused boy. And when those 2 people's Chemistry combined, they fused together and Special was born. And as those 2 Tyson and Ol Cus worked together they strengthened each other's weaknesses and phenomenalized their strengths to establish 1 of the most beautiful real life story's I have ever heard of. Long live Cus and Tyson 2gether in Eternity ! Amen and KO's 4Ever !

Why would anyone want to fight someone THAT much bigger!? Kevin used his height/weight to put on Tyson more so than he used his actual hands. Tyson pulled tricks, too. He even admitted he was getting desperate and that his heart wasn't in it any more, and that he was just paying his bills. It was warming to hear that this didn't matter to him in the way that it did in his prime, and that making his kids happy and being with family was far more important to him. And these disrespectful clowns booing and throwing stuff at Tyson after he poured his heart out, in a humble and honest way, is disgraceful! The dipstck that interviewed Mike and Kevin just HAD to antagonize by asking Kevin if he thought Mike did this and that on purpose (AFTER Mike had started moving away to other people) I'm just glad that Kevin didn't grab that childish bait, especially since him and Mike had already just said what they had to say to/for each other. Everyone acting SOOOO disappointed in Mike here kn the comments have some nerve 😂 Mike could barely get back up, he must have had a moment of clarity and thought about his kids and everything that meant so much to him and decided what he decided...which he EXPLAINED pretty clearly! If ANYONE with a level head were in the same situation, they woukd likely do the same! It was a losing fight from the start, as Tyson admitted! His heart wasn't in it...he was just paying his bills..his kids and family meant more... etc etc ALL of which was gone over. And Kevin was a very formidable opponent in being younger, MUCH bigger, way further reach, good record. I mean, it took a lot of courage to even fight that behemoth 😂 Both men are warriors in their own right. I'm not HUGE into boxing, i mainly started looking more deeply into Tyson after i heard Jake Paul wanted to fight him (That dude is a whole other story) in any case, Tyson is a VERY humble man these days. He's so chill, funny, and family oriented. A big contrast to his former, younger self. I have also seen him practice, and he has still got that beast in him. Everyone that knows about the Jake paul vs Mike Tyson story knows that everyone is using Jake's age as the sole reason that he (may) beat Mike..... And if that's all these team Jake simps have, then good luck! I guess we will see either way, wont we? 😉
