Some people get into boxing in their mid 20's... Tyson is one of those who got into it in his teens... he's been doing this since before he could vote. The man is a monster in the ring, no matter his age. I don't even think 22yr old me could take him if he was 70. The man is just built different.

@@malcolmwhite3567 Mike got knocked out by Danny Williams 20 years ago and was retired after 6 rounds to Kevin McBride the next year, a man who fought mostly no name opponents and never held any title. That was 20 YEARS ago, after two rounds against Roy Jones Jr. 3 years ago he was gassed and barely won a split decision. Jake is going to wait until he is gassed after 2 rounds and then it's not going to be as pretty as you think. It's going to be sad.

Watching Mike train is an inspiration to those of us over 50. There's still a lot of gas in the tank if you're willing to train hard, and push through the discomfort. @raph151515

I don't think genetics has anything to do with the boxer, maybe mentally, but that's his life experience that made him a killer, even born with power, without the extreme drills he executed seriously thousands of times and the daily back breaking physical prep, the teaching he absorbed so well to be a very intelligent and agressive fighter, he would have never been so great. Most noobs don't see how technical it is to move like this, it's not at all a strength based thing, he actually uses proper placement and dynamic moves to generate power, he never cheats by blasting dumbly all his power, it's always perfect balance. The ways he defends is simply unique, nobody mastered the head movement like him, he had to because he's short and has small reach (genetics), he had to develop his head movement and lightning fast feet to get in range at will (not genetics). If he was born like A Joshua, he would have killed someone in the ring.
