    Jesse, When I make a stroke I say “That was fun” when I make an error I say “Oops, but that was fun”. Basically I just keep saying “That was fun!” 😀

    davidographicsguy Oh yes, but not like I want to. I'd love to make a living at this. I'm also a portrait artist, but I'm not doing much with that either. Having a hard time applying myself. However, I am getting inspired by your videos. I'd really like some advice on selling window splashes. I work better on glass. Thanks for your response!

    Just starting again after 35 year break ! Did some coach lining and lettering back in my early 20's but couldn't make a living from it so packed it in, now as I approach retirement want to make it a hobby. Bike fuel tanks and art work for posters etc. Your work is so inspiring, learning so much just watching you work, many thanks for sharing your skills

    Another easy to understand video. Question. When you started the shadow segment you statted the brush was #4. Can you recall what brand? And don't spend a lot time on this. The brush seemed to leave a super clean, crisp stroke. Thanks.

    Can I ask how you achieve the faded blue/black background on the board? I have been thinking of spray painting and then varnishing over it on a wooden board but unsure it will produce a nice result. Helpful videos, thanks!

    If you would like a super smooth finish I would recommend using ACP (aluminum composite panel) Sign shops throw away pounds of scraps of this stuff. You need to lightly sand the surface with 320 grit sand paper. Other wise make sure the wood has a couple of coats of primer, sanding each coat, then use gloss spray paint all of like kind then clear coat with gloss Rustoleum UV non yellowing clear. Their is a high speed process video on my channel called "St. Patrick's day 2017. I hope this helps. Thank you!

    I think everyone would love to see what you can do with the larger Kwills too, do you use the liners for casual script lettering? Dave ,I still charge $10.00 for a name, one color, I see people charging $25 and even $50. For a single name, and their not even wearing a mask! I would feel sooo guilty!

  • @davidographicsguy

    @davidographicsguy

    I use your script liners for illustration and detail work, and use the Kwills for scripts. $25-$50 seems excessive unless that is the only thing the client wants, then I could see calling it “minimum rate”
