Mike Singletary "Winning" Hall of Fame Speech | NFL Network

Спорт

"It is a war everyday, and you just have to make a decision whether you want to be a part of it, and whether you want to win."
Super Bowl XX Champion Mike Singletary talks about coming from the ghetto, who and what made him a Hall of Famer with the Chicago Bears, and the most important people in his life during his 1998 Hall of Fame induction speech.

    I’ve been saying for about 10 years now Mike Singletary can turnaround the Bears franchise back to greatness. He went through his growing pains as a coach. It’s time for the McCaskey’s to bring Mike back home

    What a speech he gave and he's forever the best linebacker I ever saw.Things that can't be done today such as breaking helmets.He stated he lost a step but if you ever seen him play you never once saw it.He defined Chicago Bear Football and continues to be an incredible leader today.He got a bum rap in San Fran but he needs to coach again.

    Jesus Christ is the most important. But you have to make Him important for yourself. If you do not give Him your time, attention, and love, then you will not understand or fully experience His powerful Love. Give yourself to Him today and each day hereafter.

    “Anotherwords”, uh, um, err, BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE, HAVE FAITH (in “whatever works for you”), THINK POSITIVELY... No middleman needed. We used to think that priests/ministers were the “middlemen”, but upon further inspection, Jesus is just a middleman himself. OR We are really all just a tiny part of the Soul Of The Universe, the SPIRITUS MUNDI, and having faith in “Jesus Christ” is really just having faith in YOURSELF... Again, WHATEVER WORKS, Whatever Gets You Through The Night...is alright. It’s alright...

    @@jackw05 What? Are you kidding? My question to you is, what if He is? We already know He's real and lived after Caesar which I guess wasn't real either but you see in my 50 years I finally figured you people out that day this. First it doesn't stop anybody, once someone finds God theirs nothing that can ever I find Him again. Here's what Ive figured out about y'all and yes your cowards. What if He is real? Now we know He is but what if. Here's your problem. You still wouldn't follow Him, even if God made an exception and came to you whichever way He wants, you still wouldn't want Him. I've realized that's y'all's problem, it's not believing, that's a cowards answer. It's knowing even if He was you still wouldn't want Him. But do me a favor, keep your independence to yourself, you don't have to lie and ruin it for people that need Him. Just shut up, believe in nothing or whatever, I don't care but do not try to ruin the others who are getting ready for their journey. Ty, MP

    Great speech but to be fair playing football is not a war at all. Very few have died playing the game of football. War is ugly. Death is common. Football is a game.

  • @robertridley1029

    @robertridley1029

    4 жыл бұрын

    Many people died in the early days of football when it was played under different rules and less protective equipment. A lot of players have recently died after playing football because of the damage it did to their bodies, particularly head trauma. There are many former players who say they won't let their sons play for that reason. Did you play football? If not you don't get to tell them it's not like war. Have you ever watched football (you do know this isn't soccer right)? I have. And it was enough to know I didn't want to play because of how vicious a sport it is. If you want to ask why people would go through all of that for a game, that would be more valid than the comment you made.
