I was 11 when this was released. They released the last 7min for the radio. From that day on, this piece of music would guide my taste in music for the rest of my life.
Seria la ostia, volver a grabar 50 años despues,TUBULAR BELLS,con los mismos musicos (si todavia estan vivos, claro)🎸🎸🎸
"Grand piano; reed and pipe organ; glockenspiel; bass guitar; double speed guitar; two slightly distorted guitars; mandolino; Spanish guitar and introducing acoustic guitar, plus... tubular bells!" I don't have words to describe this masterpiece!!!

Mark Zane absolute brilliance
I was 17 in 1973 & loved this music... I didn't care that it was used in a horror film (The Exorcist). I thought this was such an awesome, creative bit of music.... ♥

I was nine, my dad had a kick ass receiver/turntable, and this album. I was very careful handling the vinyl. I played side one often. I don't think dad cared, he liked to hear it too!

BRILLIANT. Thank you.
None better. Oldfield was brilliant.
That was great.
Awesome
My final in painting class in college. I did an homage to his album cover using the metal puzzle pieces against a green felt pool table top. Took well over a hundred hours. I wonder if that canvas is still around somewhere.

This work of genius was recorded when he was just 20 years old.... Written when he was a teenager. (Pity the BBC director got bored and inserted random special effects)
MMMusic!!!
Guy Gadbois on oboe, there was a surprise!
the begin of the Loop concept !
Saw this performed last night arranged for Brass Band...!!! Yes brass band!!!! It was great. Check out Tubular Brass!
Happy halloween 2021!

This is really a song called "Tubular Bells" (side A from Oldfield's 1973 album), the side B is another thing!

@@igormaxwel6093 Will you call Mike Oldfield and tell him that he made a huge mistake back in ‘73? He gave his song a wrong title. 🙄

@@kasperkjrsgaard1447 Yes, it really makes this mistake on side B... The side A is really a song called "Tubular Bells", and the side B isn't the second part of the same song! 😇

It alway the abum wonderfull. I don't know it while i read a book: Lose Virgin of Richard Banson. Thank him!!!!

+Steven Dinh Actually Richard should thank Mike, he did not know anything about music when this album got recorded. He even had DOUBTS releasing it, tubular bells made virgin records. Feel free to look that up...

@@MichelLinschoten so true, my parents were good friends with Mike's PA in the 80s and Branson screwed Mike something rotten, without him Virgin would have failed within a couple of years.
Bassie und adriaan
I'm pleasantly possessed.
graaaand piano..good old englishman narrator,,
Where can I find the bootleg chorus or nasal chorus (I forget which). My vinyl went in the garage sale when my marriage ended 25 years ago and I lost the house. It's not fair is it. I don't mind the house so much but I lost my vinyl due to temporary disorientations. Where the heck's those choruses ?
and composer Karl Jenkins on oboe!
1 person is crazy.
Why isn't Mike Ratledge credited?
is there a part 2 of this? you know, the other side of the vinyl
This version has to be the best...does anyone know if i can buy this version on cd?

Si lo edita la bbc si en aquellos años las discográficas imponían severos derechos de radio la bbc se los saltaba si la composición no era idéntica al material de la discográfica
Remarkable! That is most of Henry Cow on that stage! And one part of the "company" is left out above: the incredible Viv Stanshall of Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band as the voice announcing the instruments. He was also on the album. Now for the geeky question: What brand guitar is Frith playing at 18:39? I can't seem to place it.
