this is one of the best solos ever for me... it's not only about the speed, technique and difficulty... it also seem to have a lot of musical sense... it kinda flows, like a song...

This is the drummer i saw with Steve Vai in Sydney Australia back in the late 90’s. That insane Tom roll switch at the end ... I swear to this day I remember just seeing a blur of sticks. I have never seen anything like it since ... and doubt I ever will.

oh i was there in that concert! When i heard the news, portnoy will not play in DT anymore, i had just one thought, only Mangini can do this

I have seen a lot extreme drumming videos, but I never saw anyone soloing one handed over the toms THAT fast and powerful. its like 8th notes on 310 bpm. ABSOLUTELY INSANE! Anyone knows any other drummer doing this? And I don't mean metal drummers blasting just on the snare drum.

+Tremendous Lad The idea is that he's playing a super fast roll on one hand, while using the other hand to wipe off the sweat. Playing a roll that fast is virtually always done with two hands.
