Daniel LaDue watch the documentary about Bill Finger and Batman. Finger basically created Batman’s look, personality, back story, and most of the original rogues gallery and Bob Kane just came up with the name. Bob kane screwed him by telling DC comics he was the creater and never mentioned bill finger. It was Fingers job to come up with stories, create, and draw the comic and Kane’s job to sell it. They were supposed to split the profits. Kane made a deal with DC comics for Batman and told them he created and did everything unknown to Finger who didn’t care as long as he got paid at the time. Eventually he did care when Batman became more popular but by then Kane and DC comics had all the rights and Finger was fired by Kane. Later (in the 70s or 80s) when other artists came forward and told people about Finger, Kane denied his involvement and said it was all lies that he created every little thing and minimized his involvement by saying he hardly worked on the Batman comic. It was also shown Kane made limited edition painting that were painted by other people but sold has his original art work. Then Kane made a fake Batman drawing saying he came up with it decades before even though the first Batman drawing was vastly different as proof of his Batman creation. Finger died broke, in his sleep, freezing in his couch. He was found a few weeks later when his apartment manager came to evict him. That’s when Kane finally acknowledged in passing he may have done Finger wrong and should have given him some credit but then changed his mind and continued his lie. Finally bill finger’s grand daughter was able to get him credited.

That show pretty much defined my high school years. I think I was 15 when they hit the air. I can not even tell you how many people my friends and I annoyed with these voices for years...the rest of high school, basically lol. I remember when Mike first started showing up on the tonight show anmd other interview places...he seemed so awkward and not even aware of how big his little monsters had become. lol. He seemed very relaxed, and more talkative on here. I could watch and listen to him doing his voices for an entire interview. I love watching the creators bring their characters to life and voice. Today's world might not know what to do with Beavis and Butthead..but, an entire generation will never forget them. I am going to be doing those voices and lines until i am using a walker annoying everyone I can at the home...lol. In the name of all that which does does not suck...I will stop.

Michael Scrip apparently that was his vehicle to own the actual property. I read a book about Miramar and the indie movie revolution of the 90s how Gus Van Sant, Ben Affleck, and Matt Damon were all screwed out of millions of dollars that were legally owed to them when Good Will Hunting became a massive success. The Weinsteins fucked them over and they weren’t pleased about the actual situation, but it opened doors for success down the line, especially for Damon and Affleck. The kind of money they made on their next films after GWH was astronomical compared to what they had ever made before. Screwed in the short term but successful in the long term.

He might not own the rights to Bevis and Butthead but he is the writer, creator and voice of Beavis and Butthead, so they pretty much can't do it without him unless they want everyone to say "that's not really Beavis and Butthead, it sucked", so it doesn't make any money. It means Mike Judge and the owners of the Beavis and Butt-head intellectual property have to be working together and neither of them are really able to make a Beavis and Butthead movie series or anything else without the other party's involvement.
