Most black people don't understand blackness... Many will speak of biracials as if to say they are not black, when in fact, black is not about race but about caste. It is more of a political term. I am lighter-skinned with wavy hair. People have thought I was Puerto Rican, but you'd need to go back 3-4 generations on either side of my family to get a non-negriod or biracial person. Meanwhile, I have friends and known people who have a white parent or grandparent who are darker-skinned, even black or browned skin. The point is, if you don't clearly fit the eurocentric/aryan appearance you may as well just be black. Obama is darker than me and sage but she's also biracial. Yet, they both will be seen as black when the ish hits the fan. So you are correct...

Sage Steele was put upon by pressing her for why she identified as mixed race. That’s how she identifies. She didn’t bring up Obama, the person interviewing her did. They pressed her by stating that Obama identifies as black instead of mixed and questioned why she didn’t. THEN after essentially being attacked for her own personal choice in identification she clarified her position that she is proud to be mixed and that if Obama wants to choose to identify as black that’s his choice. She does have a point though that it’s a bit of a slap in the face of his mother that he made a conscious decision to identify with the heritage of his absentee father.

Why she said that about Obama? That man didn't say nothing about her... she wasn't all that anyway...

So, you agree that when any person who is biracial, that is their mother is white and their father is black, they should automatically identify as Caucasian, if their father is not in their lives? Which in turn means, that if their white mother isn't in their lives, they should automatically identify as black, because their single father raised them? The problem with the statement was that she doesn't have the right to discuss what kind of father Barack Obama had. If she wants to talk about HER father that's fair and fine but she doesn't have the right to try to pass judgement on Barrack dad. Speak on your own life NOT the next man's life because you don't know what you are talking about when you do that.

That's not the issue. There is no problem with her identifying as biracial. It was her trying to project her views on to someone else. If Obama wants to claim himself as a black man then that's his business. No one needed her opinion. And her comments about his father was totally unnecessary.

It's probably more than 50% We did my grandfathers (Biracial)DNA on my Father's side and he had more African DNA than European.

In the 90's and early 2000s she was a sports reporter for Comcast sports. She would interview Ravens players and the coach. One time she ask Brian Billick a question which he said did not want to answer. She went into a rant that had nothing to do with football. She talked about her life was good. She kinda of mocked him The next week she was made to say in public how sorry she was for those statement. The players had some issues with her. She was gone soon after and the Ravens won the super bowl. This is not the only company she had issues with

ESPN knows what they have in Sage Steele. Her audience (racist white males) will drive up viewership and ratings. Remember, ESPN is competing with Fox Sports, CBS and ABC.
