    For the most part I am typically 100% in tune or very close to sharing and or agreeing with a lot of what you speak on. That being said Eminem needs to be on the list despite personal opinion. For example everyone is entitled to an opinion but certain opinions are just that and cannot even come close to being argue for or against in specific situations in terms of universal opinion. Like you can tell me Jadakiss is your favorite MC ever but in zero circumstances can you even pose an argument he is technically the greatest of all-time for a multitude of reasons. I can literally despise a specific rapper who is typically regarded as one of the greats but in reality I leave it at that and would never try to push my opinion so far that I disregard fact or the massive Collective opinions of very Avid listeners. Just off technical skill-set alone he is top 10. Whether you think he's rhyming words just for the sake of it or not doesn't disregard the fact his ability to do so is spectacular. The fact he can perform records like Rap God live with no backup vocalist is absolutely spectacular in itself. He's actually gotten better as an MC on every level as he has gotten older. His range of flow style has dramatically increased, his ability to rhyme with the range of speed he has is very rare. Princeton's I know Tupac is a top 1 For instance I know Tupac is top 10 ever and I can understand the reasons why so many have him as high as they do. My opinion does not defer me from placing him in that top 10 because I can accept reality. Andre 3000 is an example of someone who was so spectacular on what he was on that he has to be in in my top 10. His contribution on ATLIENS and Aqumini single-handedly put him in placement. That being said Nas is the greatest and I don't think that can be overstated nor changed no matter who comes out with what. I hate the double standard that exists but it is what it is. Like I said before if we took Nas voice off the last four projects and input Jay-Z's the response from the general public would have been almost overwhelming. But because it is Nas it is completely down played for some reason and I do will never understand how that is possible

    Again, this podcast is never quite fair to Eminem or Redman for many of similar reasons. How can Redman impact be so downplayed??? The Busta Rhymes Persona Post Leaders, Eminem whole style and Ludacris whole style are all clear REDMAN disciples!!!! Among others. Redman has solo classics and Group Classics (El Nino and Blackout He is an A++ lyricist He is battle Tested and still very feared by Commercial rappers and Battle Rappers. He was in Hit sqaud, Def sqaud, Mef and Red He is on the hip-hop Marijuana smokers Mnt Rushmore He put Newark NJ on the Map! longevity! He has great guest appearances

    Eminem aside, I'm not sure if you watched this full episode or not, but they pretty much said everything about Redman you just said so how weren't they fair? They defended his longevity vs Cole when chat members tried to say he fizzled out in the 90s. They praised his 1st four albums as being great projects even mentioning "in their opinion" that Muddy Waters was a top 5 rap album in 96. They went on to acknowledge his contributions to other great projects such as El Nino, Blackout and How High. I believe if you go to the full video it's around the 1 hour 44 min mark, but they definitely gave Redman his flowers.

    @@CelisMusic I guess I meant to say that this podcast really isn't fair to Eminem. I'm one of the biggest Fan of both these guys on this podcast. Redman is grossly underated by the masses these days and it's fascinating. But as a Pure Rapper or Lyricist Redman is an all time great. He checks every box. Also, many people don't realize how Successful Redman has been commercial while he was on Def Jam. Redman is Iconic but not in the Aspirational Black Culture Archetype and Drug Dealer/mafia obsession in America Even Cam'ron has. LOT of Redman. In his Style Everybody put some respect on Redman name on these lists and comment sections

    @CelisMusic

    @@therealreal7206 I feel your passion homie. I'm all about perspective as well though. I would consider their critique of Red to be just considering they acknowledged everything you mentioned previously. I realized you were only responding directly to this segment, just saying within the totality of the conversation I don't see where they have a personal vendetta against Red especially when they took the time to defend him against others (Including the recent Billboard list) and breakdown everything he's contributed to the game. As far as Eminem is concern. Mike may have a lil bias towards him but I can't say their critique of him is completely off base. From a technical sense Em is one of the best at putting multisyllabic words together in unison over a beat. With that being said it's also true that his music is not largely played within black and hip hop culture. That's not to say he doesn't have dope songs, but on a grander scale his music does not translate as well as some of his peers.

    Jay will always be the best to me came in the game hustling and was extremely overlooked the total opposite of nas who was practically the golden child of hip hop if we’re keeping it real jay z should’ve never been able to surpass nas commercially and all the other rappers jay did that just by out working them !! But what people don’t understand is that hardship makes you stronger labels refusing jay z just gave him that drive and a solid foundation(rocafella) to become what he is which is a Titan ! Whether you hate jay or not him being the most accomplished rapper is a FACT ! Not an opinion. So you guys can keep your opinions on who the greatest is as logical men only deal with facts

Jay compromised his style and sound a lot more than Nas, always worked with the hottest producers, constantly recited biggie’s most popular verses, remade a pac’s song after he died sayin fuck him and sold his albums to samsung and shit. Jay is easily the Goat. Nas can spit a rhyme no doubt. But he doesn’t have the hit songs that Jay has. When Jay drops a song or album or even a verse it’s an event. That’s why Jay’s God Did verse got more shine than anything verse or song Nas had on Magic, KD1,2 or 3.

    @@Follow.the.Leader I have Jay and Nas at numbers 5 and 7 respectively on my personal top 10 list, but my point is J makes better consistent music than any other rapper including Nas. When J drops a song, verse or album it is a commercial success because the mass hip hop audience wants to hear what J has to say and enjoys the music he makes. When Nas drops a project Nas fans may love it, but Nas hasn’t had the commercial success that J has had, because although Nas makes good music it’s not good enough to capture the attention of the mass hip hop audience. Again Nas dropped 4 solid projects in two years that no one but Nas fans are listening to or talking about. With that said, Nas is still a top MC and I’m not mad at anyone who has him at number 1 on there list.

The person that made the original comment in defense of Jay’s GOAT status is who made it about radio hits, Grammys and popularity. My argument is an attempt to bring it back to skills, albums and etc. If we’re not using the same argument for a Drake or an Eminem when it comes to popularity equating to being the GOAT, then we can’t use that argument for Jay. It’s like saying MJ is the GOAT because he has 6 rings. Well Bill Russell has 11 so now what?
