Just days ago conservatives were saying that Trump isn't acting like dictator and that any similarities were false equivalences pushed by a upset liberals. Now I don't identify myself as either right or left, but I do have a BA in History. I've studied both Communist Russia and China (especially China under Mao) and my similarities check list is filling up..... Nazism isn't anti-semitism. It's based in eugenics which states that white (Aryan) people are genetically superior to ANY other race. Muslims are a Semitic race, in case you didn't know. Africans are considered inferior as well. But fascism is not about WHO you control. It is about gaining absolute power over all the people, and enforcing "law and Order" backed by military force. Shelora, I don't want to use a Nazi comparison because of the inflammatory nature of the word and the depths it will send people. I only used the word so that people can understand who Goebbels was. Odd as it may seem, a lot of people only see one person as the face of the Nazi's and Goebbels was truly the man behind the power. The term antisemitism may be a more general term but it is used (and over-used) by the vast majority of people in the world to describe someone who dislikes people from Israel. I don't like the word and honestly didn't know its depth of meaning beyond the anti-Jewish nature aligned to it.
