I love this movie! I don’t know what snapped in illumination and dreamworks, but this is one of the peaks for Universal’s movies!

This movie is better than most recent Disney movies , Dreamworks and Illumination are really getting better

When I got the first look in front of Mario, I was pretty interested in the film by the premise and the amazing nature environments. As more trailers came out and I got impressions the majority of the film would be set in NYC, I became less interested in the film. Now though, I might check this out if I feel like it and I have spare time

Mario movie is easily beating every illumination movie since Mario overall is popular

I knew this was going to be a good movie considering it’s from the same director who did Ernest & Celestine and The Big Bad Fox & Other Tales.

Hopefully Migration leads to more original animated movies from Illumimation!

I remember on opening night of the Super Mario movie, a first look at Migration was shown and we we’re pretty impressed with the animation and voice acting! I’m seeing Wonka next week so I’ll wait til it releases onto Peacock to watch it.

Was very interesting watching a movie about migrating mallards never run into a single hunter and also somehow never depict a single goose. It felt incredibly hollow throughout. Seemed to be the only knowledge of ducks the studio had was one Mallard is a type of duck and two they fly south in the winter.

Same. Saw it tonight. super light, easy and solid movie! Mike White wrote it. Great cast. Also saw in 3D, highly recommend it! Cheers!

Who knows perhaps illumination is on a redemption arc after the Mario movie similar to Sony animation after into the spider verse. I guess we will have to wait and see.

The Mario movie was just okay

Why do I feel obligated to watch all your videos to like and support? Even when it comes to reviewing movies I don’t care to see in theaters? lol MUCH LOVE, CHRIS!

This was pretty enjoyable. It wasn't anything special, but it was fun to watch. I'd say that it was...passable in the least. The voice acting and the animation is pretty good, and the story is quite interesting. The characters were also done pretty good, but some weren't really necessary, or were just pointless. Also there were a couple of things that could have made the story much better (in my opinion). For starters, we could have known a bit more of Mack and Pam's backstory - like maybe, they knew each other as ducklings and tried new things; but while Pam became adventurous, Mack became anxious. And it would have been nice to see just a bit more of Kim and her family, like maybe have her family stay at the pond until sunset; it would have really helped built her chemistry with Dax. The designs of the animals were fine, but they could have been a bit more accurate. The designs for the ducks was good enough, but Awkwafina's Chump and Keegan-Michael Key's Delroy definitely could of had better designs - heck, Delroy looked closer to a tucan than a macaw. The designs for the people...definitely could have been better. Heck, the design for the Chef was down right terrible. And while I did like that in this movie the humans didn't really talk, and left it to the animals...there was absolutely no need for a villain in this movie. If anything, they should have just gone with actual predators to go after the mallard family. I'm in no way saying the predators actually have to hunt them down throughout their travels, but there should be some predators that will be no matter where they land. Plus, Danny DeVito's Dan, wasn't anything special or funny - which is sad to say, because...it's Danny DeVito. So, by making the movie a little longer, and getting rid of the villain (and maybe the curmudgeonly uncle), it could have made room for improvements. The humor also could have been better. Some jokes were a swing and a miss, and some were actually quite predictable, but there were times when they got a chuckle out of me - such as Chump's bit of being called "chump", or Gwen's long pleading. By the way, Gwen was the cutest thing in the movie. She was like the perfect balance between annoying and adorable. I even liked how Gwen would exaggerate things, and blurt out whatever she was thinking. And in the end where everyone tried to do her "pleading"...it was terrible. Gwen is the cute one, that bit belongs to her. And I liked the chemistry between Mack and Pam, they really did look like a married couple, as well as parents. I also would have liked to see a bit more of the place where the flock rested or landed in; especially Jamaica - it looked so beautiful. Despite all of that, I honestly wouldn't mind a sequel where the family travel to another exotic place.

Just saw it today with my 10yo. The scene early on actually scared *me* and terrified the 4yo next to me. But I think that scene really belonged further on in the movie. They tease this plot point at the beginning, and show it at the beginning of the second act, kinda weird. But overall I think it's worth it. The camera angles and beautiful scenery while the ducks are flying was pretty cool!

This movie is a great family film... No hidden agendas, No hidden messages, just a family dynamic where the parents look after the kids and the kids mature to look out for the parents. Amazing movie!!!

I was SHOCKED. This movie was a huge surprise for me. We have INCREDIBLE camera moves, characters with actual arcs, DIDACTIC music, a villain that doesn't say a SINGLE word, and genuinely intimidating moments.

Tbh this movies kinda feels like the croods and rio 2 came together it was ok film but I don't think it's worth it in my opinion

I think it looks like a great time, but personally not one I’m going to go out of my way and see it in theaters. Def will check it out on Peacock tho.

I posted this on my Facebook last night... Migration is basically what I thought it'd be; A little kid's movie. I was the only one there without kids. Even Wish and Trolls was mostly adults and a few kids. It's Illumination, makers of Minions and Despicable Me, so imagine that type of humour. In fact, it literally opens with a Minions short. So, for what it is I can't really complain too much. It's pretty much an Illumination movie. It's dumb, but at least it's harmless. I laughed a couple times, but as I said, it's meant for little kids. And they laughed ALOT. However, there was a part during the climax where the antagonist scared the kids and alot of them started crying, a few even said they didn't want to finish the movie. So... I guess it's mostly harmless (to quote Douglas Adams). I had no interest in seeing it until I realised Awkwafina was in it, so I was only watching it for Awkwafina. But she's in it only for the scenes shown in the trailer. It's about fifteen minutes. When they go to leave the city they tell her bye and I was hoping someone would invite her to come, but then it goes to the next scene and you never see her again. I'm not even going to bother rating this one, because it'd feel unfair. I'd give it a very low rating, but again... Illumination. I'm not even going to blame it on the fact it's a kid's movie. Wish and Trolls were great and they're kid's movies. I'd only recommend it if you have kids to bring with you. Maybe prepare for the part at the end that scared the kids...

I honestly LOVED the moive!!!

It’s worth it to watch this simply for the Vector short before the movie, but the actual film sounds entertaining.

Also there is a mini movie called mooned that plays before migration about the minions helping vector get back to earth what was it like unless you watched it at home

Love this movie. Went to watch it on Christmas day with my family and the theater was packed with adults and not as many kids lol really nice to because I think by now poeple know illumination always puts out a good animated movie

Glad am not the only one I really enjoy Miragration I saw it with my girlfriend and her sisters and we honestly had a fun time with it and now it's one of My favorite Illumination flims along with Despicable Me Sing 1 & 2 & Secret Life of Pets 2

I saw migration in theaters and I was really impressed with how the movie looked and I thought it was a pretty good movie either way now I love illumination I think there movies are pretty darn good for animation cause he'll yes I love illumination I have a soft spot for there movies and that's why I love them so much.

Its okay… took my 6 year old lil brother n he loved it, he was laughing the whole time.. its a straight forward movie with some small cameos from danny devito, akwafina and Keegan michael key doing a jamaican accent.. not bad 6.5/10, fun hour n a half for the kids, If you wanna take your family n kids to watch a movie for the holidays i suggest Wonka over this one but this one is alright lol.. if ur just tryna watch a mature movie with older members of your family and or significant other you should watch The Iron Claw, garenteed youll cry at the end..or Godzilla minus one if its still available in your area. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

What I like about this movie is that it was a new movie from illumination and not a sequel and even though I don't have anything against illumination sequel they have good ones but this was a new story migration.

I saw it yesterday because I was bored and wanted to drink. This was a pleasant suprise and a must watch.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars The movie was okay and did what it needed to do as a kids movie. The animation was very good and the jokes made me chuckle. The plot was just okay though and the dialogue sometimes sounded AI generated. There was extremely little character development and the main villain never had an arc. It was kind of like a rollercoster with a huge line that ended up being pretty mid. The main idea of the story was constantly shoved in your face and the parts where it seemed like it should be emotionally were pretty dry. If you have kids in the age range of 5-10 this is a good movie for them but don’t expect anything ground breaking.
