what is recommended use case for Azure SQL (a)-Migrate all instances of Microsoft SQL server to Azure SQL to improve security and reduce Cost. (B)Migrate your on-permises SQL server instances directly to azure and get all benifits of migrated instances. Which is correct option ?

this is not on premise to azure, this is azure vm to azure sql database.

In our case we have 800 dbs on Sql server on Azure VM If we use DMA when we select the target sql server Ny questions are how many az sql dbsper azure sql server are supported And do we beed to manyally create az sql dbs on target as well before migrating Data and Schema ?

You can use Powershell script or use ARM template or use terraform or az cli to create SQL dbs before migration.

How did you get your desktop ip on azure portal. Devlocal . Is devlocal on azure iaas

If devlocal is azure vm then let me know how I will connect azure dms to my local machine on my desktop

It's very easy take backup and restore, if you want zero down time setup always on or database mirroring

I hope azure SQL db backups are not compatible with azure Vm and onprem database....please correct me if I'm wrong.??

Hi any draw backs of using the azure sql Any particular reason you want to switch back to iaas from paas

no order and sequence of videos. No proper numbering either. unable to find which video is first one and which one is the next one....kindly provide numbering to videos. Author says 1st and 2nd steps already completed in prev video....but i couldnot find that prev video only.
