Migrants Are Tresspassing My Desert Property!

My ranch sits in the most remote place in Texas, just 6 miles from the Mexican border and Rio Grande. Not surprisingly, there are migrants who cross my desert property.
We see the struggle of migrants crossing the Texas border and talk about the problems, dangers and how they survive (or don't survive). I also show some of the reasons why they cross near Sierra Blanca.
I hope the comment section won’t blow up into a political debate. Instead, I hope this video will spark your compassion.
It’s about finding a way of serving your brothers in humanity. It’s about finding opportunities to serve where you can.

Hey Shaun a little late to this party but I wanted to share my experience. My son is with the Texas National Guard on the Border Mission. He is currently in the Big Bend area riding a Polaris Ranger on the big ranches in the area for this exact reason. It is May2024 and the summer is beginning and many desperate people not familiar with the region will be crossing this area. His job is to find and rescue them from the elements. Also my family owns property in the Rocksprings area. We had a cabin that would get broken into with only food and water taken. We got a foot locker and always stocked it with canned goods and openers plus fresh water and that stopped the break ins. We did this like you did to help them. Once we did come across a group gave them water and food they were very gracious. This was back in the 80’s. Wrapping up like you said doesn’t matter where you are on the political side of this issue when you meet someone in true need you help them end of story.

As a father if three girls it was hard to watch as he completely lost it on the phone call. They sent him back after being ordered processed. Years ago, my brother-in-law used to own a cabin way out in the desert west of Del Rio. When he wasn't there, he always left the cabin unlocked, with bottles of water, a little food, and a few cheap flashlights. He saw evidence of visitors several times, and the only thing he ever found stolen was a flashlight or two. These folk aren't coming into Texas to commit crime; they just want to better their lives. @@dustupstexas The fact that you feel you must have no boundaries for your own personal property shows me there is a problem here. Make no mistake, I have empathy for most of the people involved. Many are ill-informed and semi illiterate. Many are trying to escape from horrific situations we can not imagine. Some do not fall into this category and are dangerous. Even a gentle person can become dangerous in some situations. I truly feel we must help those people we encounter, if we can do so safely and without giving up our own freedoms. Americans are generous people and tolerant, perhaps to a fault. I remain convinced that this particular problem could be better addressed by a stronger emphasis on enforcing existing laws and supporting those entrusted with protecting our borders. Please stay safe out there. Situational awareness is paramount. I fear you will be “on the map” if you set up a supply depot and will attract more and more visitors.

In Canada what we mostly see about the situation at the border is mostly the extreme toxic politics that seems to completely ignore the human side of the ongoing exodus of these migrants, the desperate situations they are fleeing from and the dangers and hardship they endure while doing so. Nobody would ever put themselves in this situation without something at least as horrible as what they must be facing where they live. You sir gave me hope that America hasn’t lost its way completely. I felt your anguish in my chest as I watched. It was a heart wrenching experience. You acted with compassion and I think you acted exactly the way one should given the circumstances. Including rejecting the ridiculous behaviours you were faced with. Don't believe that political narrative that they are fleeing dangers to come to a better life because that is generally not the case. Democrat lawyers from the United States are down there telling them what to say and are doing this to help raise funds illegally for themselves by endangering the lives of these people and most of these people are good people but you have bad ones mixed in and those are the real dangers to any country who receives them. Joe Biden is an evil SOB and they have loads of children in the sex trade because of this influx of illegal immigration. This whole thing that is going on with the illegal immigration is being done by the global Elites who are trying to collapse the United states. They're trying to turn this into a communist country and they want to bring about severe hardships upon the citizens. It's a very difficult situation being thrust upon these people and most of them coming do want a better life for themselves but they are not going to get what they expect because what they have been promised is not so much what they will receive.

Far too many people, some of whom are participating in this comment section, are (in my opinion) overly confident in their own perception of the situation. Many, many people have made it their lives work to address this issue, and it's clear to me that there remains much work to be done on many levels. Having a little oasis inbetween would probably make the journey safer for the few people who actually find it, which in itself is good. After all, we don't want people to die in the desert. However, we don't want to make the - still risky - passage seemingly safer so that more people are tempted into taking the risk. But for that I don't think that a little forest 25 miles away from the next highway will make any difference.

If the cartels can't make a killing dropping Guatemalans in the desert, they won't do it. If even guides are saying there's no winning in the crossing, then the only option is to enter through ports of entry. Yes it's good for America and Mexico, but it would also be good for the people making the journey. They get to do so safely and actually gain the opportunity to assimilate. I'm reminded of an illegal encounter. I was playing outside in south Texas around 1978. A white man with strawberry-blond hair went walking across the property and got within about 40 feet of me. His hair was long, he had blue eyes and most of his front teeth missing, and he looked aged and tired. He called out to me in Spanish. I didn't recognize it because I was used to Native Spanish, not white Spanish (accents are definitely different), and I am deaf. I simply ran in the house and told my step mother. She went out to talk with him briefly, and she made sandwiches for him and gave him water. She told me years later that he had passed through a second time. I'll never forget that haunting look in his face. I didn't realize it would be me about 40 years later when I fled America for spiritual and financial reasons. All that you experienced over there since lockdowns, I got to miss nearly all of that. Even my rent went down, comparatively-speaking (same price throughout, even when I went from a 1-bedroom-1-bathroom to a 2-bedroom-2-bathroom!). No shortage of money, food or toilet paper, no standing in food lines or going to help agencies, or even facing evictions. None of that. I fled at the right time.

@@stevexracer4309 I hope I don't! It's particularly bad over there now for those in the bottom 15%. THAT is where I am. I'm 57, deaf, and semi-skilled, and I tried to get into a LOT of different things in 13-18, but nothing worked out, and I had multiple eye surgeries to keep from going blind in one eye in very early 2018. I left while I was a driver for someone months later, once I was clear to fly safely as a retina patient. It was impossible to stop going further into debt. In September of '17, I had gotten out of debt entirely, getting $14,000 out of the hole, and then I discovered the detached retina on Dec. 26th and had surgery on Jan 3rd, and again, and then again. I was all the way back in the hole by $14,000 AGAIN. I could barely make enough money to house and feed myself (in a room). I knew I lost the whole war, not just the battle, and I had already experienced staying in India 2 years before and knew I needed to go back. I sold everything I had and left. I was debt-free in nine months and started saving in cash, gold, and silver again. I have savings like never before. Yes, I'm not going back if I can help it. It's become a western-style monarchy over there. The medical industrial complex has the population hostage. The Federal Reserve System has you hostage as well. I don't see anyone doing a damn thing about it. Here, I'm educating people about the reality of America behind the picture that MSM paints for foreigners. The country has gone demonic (well, it was to start with because it's built on the dead bodies of Native Americans). People are starting to wise up to what is called coloniality. Eventually, they're going to talk about how they can stop it, and defeat it once they figure out its weakness - paper money. Think about the fact that India has more gold in private hands than any country in the world, because the gold is passed down from generation to generation, and holy cow, you should see the crowds in jewellery shops during the holidays from August through the end of the marriage season in March/April! What will you do when Indians start giving you orders? That already happened to me in 16-18 when I decided to work for them rather than for white-man companies. I did well enough in 16-17 to get out of debt entirely like I said before.
