Its fun to see how many people have such fond memories of this game. Im glad you all had such fun and amazing childhoods. Glad Im not the only one. My brother and I would consistantly make it to the Silver Horn fight, die and Game Over. We never finished this one. Still have so many fun memories playing it. We didnt even care that it had nothing to do with the movie plot, despite the title. RIP Jason David Frank. Thanks for the memories.

30:26 Bitchslapping a military SUV... That's how you know you're a badass. Also man you can just FEEL the Natsume in this game - both the music and SFX sound like they're straight out of The Ninja Warriors Again. It's also really amusing to me that this game has almost entirely Japanese development since it's specifically a POWER RANGERS game rather than a Super Sentai game with the names and a few sprites changed. What a strange but cool concept!

I recently downloaded it for my Snes emulator, to show my kids. 20 years later, and I still can't even get to the end of the 2nd level. Came here to see what the rest of the game looks like lol.

A pretty sweet beat 'em up that would be still a perfectly good game if you stripped the license. Of course, the dripping cheese from the show is excellent, and since it's a Natsume-developed cart, you can rest assured that the game play is pretty solid.

A solid beat em up. Only problem is no zord gameplay. Which is why we had fighting edition.

I could barely make it to the train level when I was younger. Such a hard but good game.

The Super NES version of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a video game adaptation of the 1995 movie of the same name is a side-scrolling action game similar to the previous SNES game based on the series. While the games were ostensibly based on the film, they also featured characters and plot elements from the second season of the original TV series.

Have a very vivid memory of playing this at a friends house as a kid. Blew my mind as a 5 year old and i never saw it again until now.

Bro playing this as a kid growing up was the actual pinnacle of childhoods. Playing this after school in the 2000s was the best.

I love the musics of this game.

you can tell this game was supposed be based on the show's second season given the appearance of Zedd's Putties and monsters. But then, the movie, which this game is loosely based off, was coming out in theaters, they did a last minute change very late in development.

Yeah, the Mega Drive version simply turned the already completed stages into a flashback. It's interesting how both games kept the season 2 elements even though they now had to use the season 3 zords and Ivan Ooze.

That also includes the Game Gear versions. Gameboy version did use the main villains of the Movie,as well as the ninja suits,but that didnt make it better.

Like every other kid I wanted to be Tommy or Jason, cuz they were the most skilled fighters, but working in the repair industry gave perspective on who the real badass was. I realized it was Billy, the most useful ranger of all, who kept bailing them all out of trouble. He was more than just another set of fists, he was the only ranger who had another skill that was called on, practically all the time! He was the one ranger the team could not do without. Whenever some gadget went haywire or something needed recalibration, it's apparent that the other rangers definitely panicked until Billy got on the job lol.

Billy is so over the top nerdy in this game. I like that in the movie he came in to his own and was pretty cool/confident

Funny how I remember those first levels so vividly and enough though I'd beaten it at least once as a kid pretty much everything after level 4 is faint. But that snow level, oh is that ever ingrained in my mind till the end of time.

The special power of billy is awesome

I have the movie too! It looks awesome with Ivan Ooze as a badass villain

Look if I get this game I will go through this with different Rangers but Tommy Oliver White Ranger is going up against Ivan ooze in the final battle.

Even all these years later I still know that unmistakable aircraft carrier music. Easily in my Top 10 SNES tracks.

If only these Rangers had Metallic Mode, the Ninjitsu Suits, the Ninja and Shogun Zords plus Katherine as the Pink Ranger in this classic SNES Version.

The only thing I didn't like is how the Rangers had unique moves in unmorphed form but all played exactly the same in Ranger form. Otherwise I had a lot of fun playing this back in the summer 1995.

They never played the same when morphed in ranger form. The genesis version had the Rangers play exactly the same and none of them are unique. The ranger gameplay in that game is repetitive while the snes version is better

It wasn't the Genesis version, but it was still playable. The OST is phenomenal.

When versus Silver Horn,you can actually hang on to the pipe above,in order to jump over him.

Since beat em ups have a resurgence with Streets of Rage 4 and TMNT Shredders Revenge, I wish they'd update this and bring it back for modern consoles.

SNES version was way better than Sega version. Even though I had both hahah there was a MMPR fighting game I had..forgot what it was called. MMPR, Secret of Mana, Super Street Fighter 2 New Challengers, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Jurassic Park were my favorite games.

I lean too the Sega cos i find the Fatal Fury mechanic weird i see why they did it But not my groove plus the included zord battles were a great touch. The SNES graphics and that are great for me the SNES should be producing thus quality it has the power. They why im always amaze what an older console can do when put in the right hands no matter the console.

Okay, the first stage has the grocery store side on fire, and the end has two elevators and the next section takes you to the rooftops? I dunno if teleportation was used, but if it wasn't, then the Power Rangers just threw fire safety out the window, because you never use an elevator in the event the building's on fire.

this game looks like its more based on the second season of the show of MMPR than the movie itself, my guess is, when this game was in development, that was the original plan, intention, after all, Zedds Putties and Zedds monsters you fight in the game, which are not in the movie itself, also, the way you battle Ivan Ooze in the game is not the way it happend in the movie, in this game you fight him in human size form, my guess is, Ivan Ooze was a last minute addition to the game just to cash in on marketing the game for when the movie came out, i figure Lord Zedd was originally intended to be the final boss and you fight him in the castle thrownroom just like you battle Ooze in this game.

The morphing bar wasn’t an issue and it could be done better as it’s own separate bar and then for ultra attacks, the other bar can be implemented

I loved this as a kid, but going back and playing it as an adult, it's frustrating. Its the same punch from your character over and over, vs the first SNES game where you at least had a simple combo. I much prefer the Sega MMPR game

Don't be stupid like that. You know that's not true. This game isn't even that good. The other SNES Power Rangers game was so much better then this one. As well as the 2 Genesis games. The movie game for the Genesis at least followed the movie. This game literally has nothing to do with the movie. So this game is basically false advertising. And even if we're not going by following the movie, the game still isn't even that good. It's insanely hard. The other SNES game wasn't a problem to finish. This one takes forever just to get past the first level.
