Fragmente te shkeputura nga dokumentari i Ministrise se Mbrojtjes te Ushtrise Popullore te RPSSH, 'Shqiponjat Marrin Lartesi' i krijuar ne vitet 70.
Kjo permbledhje paraqet caste nga jeta operacionale e Aviacionit Luftarak Shqiptar dhe avionit MiG-19S.
Ne nje karrire te gjate prej me shume se kater dekada dhane jeten ne krye te detyres 13 pilote. Qofte i paharruar kujtimi i tyre dhe respekt per gjithe njerzit qe i kushtuan jeten Aviacionit Shqiptar.
Avioni MiG-19 ka qene avioni kryesor dhe me i shumti ne numer me Forcat Ajrore dhe ka sherbyer totalisht per rreth 45 vjet, nga viti 1959 deri ne vitin 2004.
Ne shqiperi kane operuar dy versione te MiG-19, versioni interceptor MiG-19PM i paisur me radar dhe rraketa ajer-ajer, dhe versioni i gjuajtesit taktik MiG-19S i paisur me tre topa te fuqishem 30 mm dhe shtrate per rraketa te padrejtuara ajer-toke FFAR ORO-57K 57 mm, si edhe bomba te disa kalibrave, me hedhje te lire.

Excellent video about an excellent aircraft.... one of my friends' grandfather flew on similar MiG-19PM fighters during the late 60's in the Hungarian Air Force, and he told us numerous stories about this beauty. It's a shame that Albania doesn't have any fixed-wing aircraft (let alone a fighter jet) in it's inventory anymore.

I know, it had a lot, but the last of the MiG-s were retired in 2005 or so, if I'm correct.

Zcsomos Yes my friend it's a shame. We will have to wait until 2025 to hope for some jets. Other eastern bloc countries like Hungaria or Bulgaria still have jets because their politicians are not as corrupted as our politicians. Anyway respect to you!
Love the MiG-19 but the Albanian landscape is also beautiful.

Erano meglio construiti, piu 'fini' se si puo dire dagli originali...Anche in altri sistemi vedevi una qualita migliore. I prodotti cinesi di quela epoca non avevano nulla da fare con i prodotti di oggi.

MIG19 is a formidable fighter. No less than 25 US combat planes fell victim ( shotdown) to China PLAAF MIG19 during Vietnam war.

Was there a separate country called Albania in those days ....?!!! I thought Albania, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia...etc. all were in Yugoslavia... which was actually a near perfect country till the Americans brought them down.
