If you are looking for the best bagless vacuum on the market. Look no further than the Miele Boost CX1.
Let me get straight to this point though...the CX1 Boost is not the correct vacuum for you if you have wall-to-wall carpet. Why? Because if you have wall to wall carpet that you want to maintain well for a long time, you should be buying a vacuum with a powered nozzle. The Miele Boost CX1 Cat & Dog model will come with a TURBO nozzle, but that is air-driven...so it does not have the power and same agitation capability as one with a powered brush roll. You might think I am late to the game on reviewing this model because it has been on the market for over a year, but do not blame me for that. That is Miele‘s fault. They finally are allowing us small businesses like Vac MD to carry this model and then of course there’s always the fact that it is a bagless Vacuum so there was a little hesitation on my part to carry it.
I know a lot of you guys out there have a DC 39 or DC23 or CY22. The Miele Boost is a quality replacement and quite the upgrade for models like those. If you own a DC39 you may have had some motor issues because as a Dyson repair shop, all DC39's seem to have motor issues at some point.
Miele, your German-made "Immer Besser" vacuum cleaner brand has a bagless vacuum that is very stylish and very similar in style wise to those Dyson's but the quality of Miele is much better and the power of Miele‘s is unmatched. Add to it the fact that you have a small business like us that backing that vacuum if something were to ever go wrong. This model has a three year warranty, bumper-to-bumper anything that can go wrong as long as it’s not considered customer abuse or wear-and tear. The Miele Boost comes in three different models:

If you feel like you are always emptying your bagless vacuum...this is why. They hold much less dirt than bagged models.

You would need to add a turbo nozzle so you can properly agitate the carpet. And even a turbo (air drive) nozzle is not ideal for wall-to-wall carpet, a powered nozzle would be best. Can you use the CX1 on carpet? Sure! Will it pick up? Probably. Will it pick up well, and maintain carpet over time? No. To do that you need a Turbo nozzle or Powered Nozzle. Hope this helps. Number one feature on any quality vacuum cleaner! Millions of buyers forget about that, unless you don’t have dirt, dust, kids, animals, messy family and real life… the average normal human life around you, why you really need a trustworthy vacuum cleaner!!! Such an important part of all cleaning process! So far, I have found this only on a few models besides Miele, like some Shark models. So, thank you for that! We have collies in the last 27 years and normal hi life in a windy state, where there’s lots of weather changes. So quality vacuum s are a must! And spending the money for the right ones is worth every penny!

Horrible design and definitely not an improvement. The entire reason Miele was so good had to do with the filtration system. The new one is pathetic by comparison. Another deal breaker redesign...

Bagless in general is a bad idea. But there’s a market for it, so Miele has one for those who insist on bagless.

Good to know they did not eliminate the HEPA bag model. I am certain it filters much better. I seriously doubt bagless saves money over time. The Boost is much larger too.@@kimberly.thomason

Correct. This isn’t the appropriate vacuum for rugs. There are other models that would do better.

@@lucylaide7072 that’s because it’s not meant for carpet. You would have needed to spend more to purchase a model that was appropriate for carpet. Yes, this model expensive for the features you get. Most quality brand vacuums, you would need to spend $800+ to get a model that cleans carpet properly.
