@@jilliantomasino190 Well, It's a roughly exact measurement of traffic conditions based on the time of day and weather all wrapped up in one. I know that an 18 mile trip with 3/4 freeway speeds is 25 minutes outside of rush hour, 35 minutes morning traffic, 45 in evening traffic, and roughly add 15-60 minutes if you have to say goodbye to someone right before leaving or have a final beer with them. Don't want to be rude, ya know.

I’m from So Cal too, and lived here most of my life. There is very friendly people. It’s a shame that people who really aren’t from California or never set foot in California, always assume no one is nice or friendly in California. I beg to differ. My first job working with customers at a fine department store, I was friendly and helpful and made a lot of new friends with my co-workers and customers… I have plenty of sweet and kind loving friends, in different parts of California and we take forever to say goodbye after visiting each other. I have worked for companies that had sent me to homes and greet people, deliver documents and everyone has always invited me into their homes, a lot of these perfect strangers turned out we have a lot in common, or a couple happened to have gone to the same high school I went to and they live in a different county, even when I’m on a time limit for my job, most of these people have invited me over for dinner or give me their number! I’ve traveled all over California, even when I visit San Francisco, everyone at the hotels, restaurants and shops, are friendly and helpful. I have been to the Midwest and the first time I was there, I won’t say what state, but I’m the kind of person who smiles and says hello and this waitress at the restaurant looked like I was bothering her, didn’t smile and she just seemed rude. I won’t assume because I’m Mexican-American because that’s just what everyone says, because of my race, she was just plain rude but I still gave her a tip like I would no matter how the server is. Everyone works hard all day. Then walking back to my hotel, I walked by a few people, said hello to a couple of people, they just ignored me. Ok.. is it because I’m Mexican?! It can’t be, the people at the hotel were friendly. The lady at the gift shop was friendly.. So, people have to realize everywhere you go, you’re going to meet absolute jerks or the friendliest people. It’s too bad every time there’s videos from how people are from another place, some people have to be disrespectful and compare California isn’t as good or friendly as whatever place they are from or visit. And since I lived here all my life, there are wonderful and friendly, kind and caring people. Even giving and helpful people all over California. Other people hate on California but never set foot here or come here for vacation. Every state has there good and bad, I even met some awesome people in New York and they get a bad rap in how rude they can be. Yeah, the Midwest starts are perfect! Lol 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yikes SoCal!! So Sorry for you. Bunch of mean, psychotic, unhappy, unfriendly, confused, delusional, self centered, phony, stressed ppl there lol. Ppl think Californians age fast because of the sun but all those wrinkles are from frowning all the time lol. I lived half my childhood in Wisconsin (birth to 6th grade), the other half in California(6th grade through high school), and now live in Texas as an adult and let mentell you after living in Texas and Wisconsin you can literally FEEL the mood change as soon as you drive past the "Welcome to California" sign. I wouldn't move back there if you paid me and that's not just a figure of speech - I've turned down several job offers that would have required me to live in SoCal.

Funniest thing about this: Uber can't possibly exist in the midwest. Every midwesterner is willing to drive you anywhere you want at any time of day or night for a 6-pack or an invite to dinner. They could be a guy from 10 doors down that you've only met once, and if they heard no one else could pick you up, they'd drive out in the middle of the night to get you home as long as you made them a meatloaf.

You’re too hilarious! I don’t mind chatting if I’m in a taxi or a Uber lol, it’s a great way to meet new people. The only thing that irritates me is reading some of the other comments, people have to throw digs about California when most of your video’s aren’t about California. So, WTH? people?! Lol.. people assume the worst about California as if we’re just one big city! Lol.. I’m from Southern California and lived in California all my life and I can promise you, there are so many friendly and caring people here. So many people are helpful, donate food, clothing, money, shelter, even taking in people who need help, build homes for people who are homeless. Communities help one another out. One time I fell real hard, I missed a step and almost fell into the street where it’s a busy street, someone accidentally bumped into me and I was on the curb and I fell hard, it was so painful, several people ran to me to help me, told me to sit still to make sure I didn’t break anything, and then they helped me up and made sure I was ok, luckily nothing was broken but just a couple of scrapes, this happened in San Francisco. Total strangers in San Francisco came to my rescue. It’s too bad that people assume the worst in California people. Every state has there good and bad. People may assume the Midwest states have the greatest and friendliest people, I’ve been to a Midwest state, not everyone was so friendly. Part of me wanted to assume because I’m Mexican-American, some people think I’m either Italian or from the Middle East! 🤷🏻‍♀️… But come visit me and I’ll be your tour guide, I’ll introduce you to my family and we’ll feed you well, give you a cozy room to sleep and probably give you a welcome party in your honor, here in California. 😁

I spent a couple of days in Bayfield Wisconsin once. Went out to supper at a local place that was done in original late Forties knotty pine. Good food. A couple of people asked to have the AC turned on because the evening was unseasonably hot--somewhere in the 48 degree range.
