    I have a 76 k5 with a 454 too. Has dual flowmasters, dana 60 front a 14 bolt rear. Axles were changed to one ton. It's a slow build, but love it. K5s are the best!

    @MrAss707 i likem clean and dirty. depends on the truck to me. if its one like that it deserves to be dirty if its one like my truck(no vid cause it doesnt run now being restored by me n dad) a '57 chevy 3100 stepside 1/2 ton pikup. it aint gettin covered in mud. unless ya know there just happens to be a muddy spot in the road, what screams "punch it" like a mudhole infront of you

    Pretty simple swap, i recomend taking off the front clip of the front end if it is lifted. Also note, that you have to redo your exhuast for BB headers and set up. Th350s and th400s will bolt up. And changing and upgrading the mounts i would do as well. If your doing just a car set up , you can just drop one in. A Stock Radiator will work but again i would upgrade to a 4core set up.

    The crank, the heads, the mounts, and the block design define big and small blocks. Chevy has a big block 400 and a small block 400.

    @dirtbikeracer24 He's right, Interco does make 39.5.

  • @JavierPadron
    @JavierPadron11 жыл бұрын

    They can be balanced, just takes more work now if your talking about 39.5 or 44's then no. Most of the time Interico Tires are used for off road and balancing is not so importants. But for 33's bais or Radial someone can get it done. Also dont expect for it to be perfect, let them get it done and if it off a bit it off, there Boggers.

    I dnt balance my tires. Bilisteins gas shocks ride like air bags even on cold mornings when the tires are sqaure still. Daily driver 39.5 tsls.

    I love the truck..... What size is the lift you got on it? My guess is a 3 inch body lift with a 6 inch suspension for 9 inches to fit over the 39.5"s.... Looks kinda like mine with the body lift, missing bumpers and roll cage.... Keep the vids coming.

    A bad front alignment will eat ur tires faster. Also rotate them and always make sure u run them at a good psi. Make it a religion and u will be surprised.

    There is a 366 big block truck motor. Not that many people would build one, but there are old 366 dump trucks making money everyday. Dodge made a 318 big block (not to be confused with the 318 small block) in the 60s. There are probably more, that is all I can think of at the moment. Whoever told you about a 500 inch rule is lying to you.

    you are correct that the model of engine that the motor is, stroked or otherwise, overrides any modifications that the engine has. however, there is no rule stating what a big block is and what a small block is, i am well aware that my comment was poorly thought out and written, however, gibby1776s comment was wildly innacurate and makes no sense, to anyone who has any idea on american engine design of the late 20th century. the 454 and 460 being the best examples of how stupid he is. :)

  • @fatmatmang90

    Do you realize that's not true? Why don't you make sure what you're saying is true before you try to correct someone, huh?

  • @23HAMSANDWICH
    @23HAMSANDWICH12 жыл бұрын

    freakin stupid. gearheads everywhere have agreed that anything over 380 could be considered a big block. there is no solid definite line anywhere defining the difference. you could have a 350 stroked to a 383 and be called either way. its trying to force your incorrect "insider" info onto this guy that pisses me off.
